Silvano awoke to being shaken.

"Come on sleepy head it's night time already. Wake it on up." Jay's voice was saying.

He groaned quietly and sits up, "Exactly... It's night time let me sleep..." he laid back down and closed his eyes.

Jay snorted "Wake up or I'm going to slap you."

He pretends to snore and stays lying down. Jay shrugged "I warned him" Turns his head so that he would be looking up before slapping him across the face. Hard.

Silvano sits up with a start and starts yelling "Che diavolo!!" Causing Jay to laugh.

"Hey you should have woke up Italian boy." She told him.

"I was pretending to snore! Don't you get jokes!" he yelled before muttering under his breath, "Sheesh what is wrong with the girls these days...."

"And still didn't wake up. Sorry but it's not exactly every day I go to visit the little fairies."

He rolled his eyes "Oh great now we got the Tooth Fairy joining us, woohoo let me go get my teeth and piggy bank"

"Oh no with your hair length they'll braid your hair for sure." Jay noted with a smirk "Now come on drooler we've got places to visit." With that last comment Jay walked out of the barn.

He turned slightly red and followed behind her, muttering curses in Italian the whole way.

For about the next half hour Jay seemed to be aimlessly wandering the woods nearby. Which got many comments from Silvano. Finally they reached a river.

Jay kneeled down on the bank, taking out a shiny rock from her pocket and throwing it into the water "And now we wait".

"Maybe we should throw a tooth in," he joked.

"Are you trying to tempt the fishies to eat you?" She said seriously "Cause seeing a guy no matter what their species makes them sing their song after all. Don't go to them when they do, or you'll die."

"Knew that was coming. 'Oh Silvano don't eat that bread or you'll die. Oh Silvano don't listen to music or you'll die. Oh Silvano don't go into sunlight or you'll die' Lady I got olive skin and I want to keep it that way," he replied sternly.

"Well you wanna breathe your last breath today or in a few decades?" She said before having an idea and smirking "Death Breath. Ha."

He glanced in the other direction and stopped talking. She rolled her eyes, still smirking from her joke, and stared at where the rock rested on the bottom of the river bed. Something caught the edge of her eye and she smirked wider.

"There they are." She pointed at the large fish coming to investigate the rock.

Only they weren't fish, only half fish. The other half was that of a woman.

Silvano quickly crab-crawled backwards, quite alarmed "What are those!"

Jay chuckled at this "They're mermaids. Just wait, when they see us they'll sing their song, which is quite pretty but it's meant to lure people, mainly males, to them for them to eat." She told him, glancing from mermaid to mermaid before spotting a certain one and grinning.

Silvano scooted a little forward after seeing how relaxed Jay was with the creatures and tried to seem friendly, "Er.. um.... Hi ladies," he said awkwardly.

Upon hearing him, a few popped their heads out of the water, studying him for a moment. Jay grabbed his hand.

"One moment," She told him, not showing any reasoning for her holding his hand yet. The rest of the mermaids popped out, and after studying Silvano for a moment, started to sing.
