James P.O.V
Maia's mother called upstairs.
"Maia I'm going out!"
"Okay Mom!"
Maia called out. Then stood up and walked downstairs to say goodbye to her mother.
"You just had to leave at the perfect moment. Didn't Cha?"
I stood up and looked around her room. I noticed her phone on top of her bed. I smirked.
"Okay Maia, let's see."
I picked up her phone and punched in her pass code.
"Wow.. it worked. Skylar you snitch."
(I HAD TO OKAY)
I saw an app called wattpad.
"Oh hello."
I had heard of it before. People write books then other people read them. I opened the app. I saw a book that interested me. The title was- I heard Maia walking back upstairs. I got rid of the evidence and put her phone back. Sitting on her bed as she walked back into her room. I turn around to face her.
"I've been expecting you Maia."
She laughed. I smiled.
She has the most amazing laugh and smile...
"What?"
I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Uh, what do you mean?"
"You said I had the most amazing smile and laugh, James."
"So uh, we have to do a skit on Aphrodite and Ares."
I quickly changed the subject.
"Okay so uh..."
Maia paced around her room trying to think of something.
~Time Skip Cause McDonalds.~
Maia fell onto her bed next to me.
"We did it!"
She yelled, throwing her arms up.
"Woo!"
We both laughed. Her phone rang. Breaking the soon after silence from laughing.
"One sec."
She picked up her phone.
"Hello?"
I propped myself up with my elbows.
"O-oh my god... I-i'll be right there!"
She started throwing things into a bag before she looked at me.
"J-james i-im-"
I smiled softly
"Want me to drive?"
She nodded quickly. We speed walked to her front door. I grabbed my keys and walked out to my car, going over to the drivers seat. I got in and started up the car. Maia got in the passengers seat and slammed the door closed.
"Where are we going"
I looked at her. Her eyes were glossy, like she was about to cry.
"H-hospital"
She managed to stutter out. I nodded before driving off.
~More time skips by my "innocence"~
Maia's P.O.V
I jumped out of the car and ran into the hospital. A doctor walked out of a room and looked up at me from behind his glasses.
"Ah, you must be Maia."
I nodded.
"They're in here."
I looked down.
"S-so W-what happened."
I stuttered out.
"Well. Your friend Matia ran into a pole. She's got a minor cuncussion. And your friend Skylar was in a motorcycle accident, seemed extremely drunk."
He looked at me. I looked up at him.
"Oh no, that's normal for Skylar. Always seems drunk. Matia I'm not sure."
He chuckled before standing infront of a room.
"We put them in the same room."
I nodded.
372. Remember the room.
I thought to myself. I walked in to see Matia waving at me.
"Hey Maia"
I ran over and hugged her.
"I'm so glad your okay! How'd you run into a pole though."
Matia sat up.
"Well you see, I'm a robot alien unicorn. And to sharpen our horns we run into poles."
I laughed.
"Well I'll take that for an answer."
She smiles.
"Wait where's Sean"
Matia pointed to a bed near the wall. A figure was sleeping. One arm was hanging off the bed and the foot was on the pillow. I walked over and woke up Sean. He shot up.
"Hey Skylar."
He groaned.
"I told you It's Sean."
I smiled and hugged him
"I'm so glad you two are okay!!"
I pulled away from the hug and slapped Sean.
"Don't do that again!"
I hugged him again.
"Okay first of all. OW. Second of all, wont try too."
I laughed.
"Hey Maia?"
"Yeah Sean?"
"Can you do me a favor."
I looked at him.
"What's that?"
"Go get James, bring him in here, then shut the door and stay in the hall."
I looked confused.
"Why do-"
"JUST DO IT!"
I nodded and walked out to the hall, surprisingly James was there.
"Hey are you-"
"Sean wants to see you."
He gulped before walking into the room. I shut the door and waited in the hallway.
~20 Minutes Later~
James walked back out with a red handprint on his face. It was a dark, dark red. His lip was bleeding and he looked dizzy.
"Oh my god James what happened"
He looked at me
"Well you see Mrs.Turtle,"
I laughed and lead him to a seat.
"Thanks"
I smiled.
"So if you don't mind me asking, what happened in there?"
He rubbed his cheek.
"Sean just got mad that's all......"
He took his hand off his cheek and played with his thumbs.
"About...?"
I tilted my head.
"N-nothingggg"
I swore I saw his cheeks turn a light shade of pink.
"Let me go say bye to Sean and Matia."
I stood then walked off to their room. I walked in and found Matia watching tv and Sean doing something on his phone. You could tell it wasn't good because he had headphones in.
"Bye Matia"
Matia waved before returning to the tv.
"GOODBYE YA FILTHY SINNER."
I screamed so Sean could hear me. He took out a ear bud and returned the screaming.
"GOODBYE PERSON I SEND VIDEOS AND PICTURES OF YOUR DADDY TO!"
I growled.
"FUCK YOU."
I stuck up my middle finger.
"YOU WISH YOU COULD WITH AN ASS LIKE MINE."
I shut the door before it became a full on war. (You'd know who'd win.) I walked back to James.
"Come on ya wimp."
He smiled and stood up. As we walked out of the hospital there was silence.
"I could hear you two screaming through the wall. Does he always talk like that?"
I laughed and nodded.
"It's usually worse."
By the time we got out of the hospital it was pitch black. The stars our only source of light.
"Hey can I take you somewhere?"
I looked at him.
"Sure,"
We passed his car.
"James your car is right there."
"Sorry, we have to walk."
I groaned.
"What's a matter Maia-chu don't like walkin?'"
I crossed my arms and puffed out my cheeks. I could of swore I saw him stare at me a few times. His eyes suddenly lit up,
"Come on."
He grabbed my hand then started running through the woods. I laughed,
"James stop running!!"
"I'll carry you if I have to!"
I felt my cheeks heat up but followed. We ran up a hill then took a right through some trees. It was a grassy hill, it overlooked the city. Millions of lights shining.
"James it's-"
He smiled.
"Look up."
I did as I was told and looked up.
Stars. Millions of bright stars infront of my eyes. It was beautiful. He sat down on the grass. I sat next to him, pointing at stars that looked like different things.
"I tried this with Sean once. Ya know, watching the stars."
"How'd that go"
I cleared my throught.
"He said that most of them looked like dicks."
He broke out into laughter.
"You cant always count on Sean for those jokes."
I laughed with him. In this moment, just sitting in the grass with him. Felt, natural. I looked at him smiling.
That smile.
I guess I was staring at him for a while because he was fixing his hair, shirt, and anything else he could.
"Is something wrong with me or do you just like what you see?"
I blushed and quickly looked down.
"Are you...?"
I covered my face,
"N-no"
He pulled my hands away from my face and lifted up my chin.
"Your cute when you blush."
He smirked at his comment.
"Y-your cute in gereral."
I managed to stutter out.
"So you do like what you see."
"Y-yes..."
"Good. Cause I do too."
