Narrator P.O.V
The alarm went off, sixteen year old Maia was already awake. She woke up everyday at 5:30 then played on her IPAD or IPhone. (True story) She heard her phone ring and looked over at it. She saw it was her job calling, she works at a local coffee shop. She picked up the phone,
"Hello, this is Maia speaking"
"Maia, we need you to come into work to show the newbie what he's suppose to do. Okay Bye."
Then the line went dead, she wasn't expecting to work but life always has curveballs. She stood up and got dressed then brushed what hair was left on her head to brush. (Irl Maia has half her head shaved) She had put on a tank top and shorts, then walked downstairs. She pulled a poptart out of her cabinet and ate it. She picked up her bag and walked outside and down the street to work. When she arrived she saw her boss walking over to her with a redish-orange hair. She was smaller then both of them so she looked up slightly at both of them, her boss smiled,
"Maia this is James, he's your newbie."
James smiled, Maia smiled back.
"His smile..."
That's all she could think about, she held out her hand and he shook it. Her boss left with just her and James standing there,
"Did he say what position you are?"
"No, he said you'd give me one."
He said, his voice was sweet but husky.
"Okay, how about a waiter. I'm a waitress so I'll show you the ropes."
He smiled once more and nodded
"Sounds good."
She walked to the back and handed him a half apron.
"Wear this until boss gives you a uniform, I'm gonna go get my uniform on."
"Okay"
He tied the apron around his waist as Maia walked to the bathroom around and into a stall. Maia put on her uniform (Photo above) then walked back out to him. James looked at Maia and blushed slightly, then he looked down pretending not to notice she was there.
"Ready?"
He looked up slightly then looked into her eyes
"Yeah, im ready."
He said sweetly, Maia walked out to the kitchen and he followed. She tripped over a mat that was left in the hallway to the kitchen. James caught her and looked into her eyes, Maia blushed and tried to stand up but just fell again, there he was catching her again. He smiled and helped her up.
Maia's P.O.V
(Bold is Maia's thoughts)
Oh my good he just caught me in his arms and smiled at me....
I stood with his help and looked into his eyes, then looked away and walked to the kitchen. I walked to a table and took the order while James watched trying to figure out what to do.
"Okay that will be right out sir!"
I smiled and walked out to the kitchen then placed the order sheet on the ring. James looked at me and smiled.
"Got it?"
"Yeah I got it"
He said sweetly.
"I'll leave you to table number 14 and if you need help I'll come help"
He nodded and walked to table number 14. My friend Skylar walked out to me and looked at me, I was to dazed to notice she was there
"Whatcha doin"
She said. I jumped and looked at her
"You almost gave me a heart attack!!!"
I screamed at her then punched her arm
"Ow!"
She laughed and looked at James
"Who's the new guy?"
"That's James, I'm teaching him."
"Oooooo!!!!"
She taunted
"Shut up!"
James walked back over to the ring and placed the order. Skylar walked into the kitchen as James walked over to me
"How'd I do?"
"Great"
I smiled and looked at him. He looked back and asked me a question I thought he wouldn't
"Hey maia?"
"Yes?"
"Can you come over to my house, to teach me more?"
My face turned red and without thinking I went
"Course!"
