Light Of Darkness

Chapter 4:Forgotten Memories.

The first day of School was over.The Sun was hiding in behind the hills ,the pond was shining red as it was reflecting the rays of the hiding Sun.The cool gentle evening breeze blew ,it's cool air touched my skin giving me a cold chill down my spine.

-What had happened to me?Why did I want to kill?These questions were echoing in my mind as I walked home with Adrian.I glanced at Adrian and a thought crossed my mind.

-What if I felt that need again?That evil need to kill.I would've killed some somebody if Alina had not calmed me down.What if next time I get berserk when I'm with Adrian or my mom?Alina wouldn't be there to calm me down ,would she?-I was thinking of what worse could happen,Just having the thought of it made me terrified.I was trembling from by legs to my head ,I was shaking.I wouldn't want to kill my best friend or my mom.Why would I?

"You okay?"Adrian said when he noticed me shaking, he pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Yea..I'm fine."I lied ,he looked at me with a worried face.I was glad to have a friend like him.Then I suddenly felt all my energy drained ,I fell on my knees.
"Sean!Hey you're not okay!"He spoke , he quickly supported me as I nearly falled.He was calling my name I could not hear it but I saw his lips moving.His face became dimmer ,and then darkness surrounded me.

-Sean...Sean..-

-What happened?Am I dead? Where am I ?-I opened my eyes."Ahhh!!!"I screamed,I was lying on my back in kind of horrific place.
Spider webs,Blood, on the walls ,skulls and bones all over the ground.I got up quickly shaking.
This place seemed like a dungeon with endless passage leading
somewhere.

-What is this place?-I thought as I was still shaking with fear,this place's aura had a really evil stench.
I started walking in the dark passage,watching carefully at my each step.I was walking without knowing where I was ,the passage became darker as I moved further.
The walls were getting narrower and the aura was getting stronger.
I walked until I reached the end of the passage,the darkest.

There was shadowy figure sitting in chair.I couldn't get a look of his face because of the pitch black where he was sitting but I could see his yellow eyes shining in the dark,his aura was the one that I was feeling before.
"You're here...I was waiting"Said the figure.I got a cold chill down my spine.
"T..this..vo..voice?Y..you're..."I said not being able to complete sentence as I was trembling more than before.I recognized the voice.
"Yes...Sean..I'm the one from the school corridor..surprised ?"He said in his voice darker than before.He got up quietly and slowly moved towards me.I moved back a step.
His face was getting visible as he moved closer.

-Y...You.."I said as I stared at his visible face.
"Yes Sean...Remember what I said before?...I'm You...You're me."He said.He face looked like me but he didn't completely look like me.
Black hair which looked It was of some rotten mouse.His eyes ,dull yellow shining In the dark.His face palest I've ever seen.He gave a evil smile as I looked at his cracked lips.

"Thinking about my face?'"He asked as he moved closer.Bones and skulls were getting crushed as he moved.He stopped close to me,staring at my eyes.
"Where a..am I?I asked .
"You're in the darkest part of your Mind"He replied with that evil smile.I looked around.
I could've run but I ..somehow froze at the very spot.
"HELLO!"He said.His voice pierced through my skull.
"Ahhh!!!STOP!!!NOT AGAIN!!!"I screamed in pain before I knew I was in my knees clutching my head in the pain that his voice gave.
"I want you to accept me Sean!...but wait how could you..You don't know who you are..then ,You don't know me.."He said.I felt as if 100 were knives stabbing one by one in my body.

"PLEASE!!!STOP!!!"I said not being able to say anything else.
"TIME TO KNOW YOURSELF!!!"He said as he grabbed my forehead.His touch felt cold..colder than Ice..giving me shivers.
I was remembering something.I could see images...I was hearing voices.

Sun rays entered through the glass wall,blue sky was visible through the glass of the ceiling which was shaped a dome.I was surrounded by people who seemed like priests.They were chanting something.I was trembling ,i felt really afraid.There were two people arguing about something above the marble stairs in a place which looked like the place which people look at the Lions in the Zoo.
-Mom?- One of them looked like my mom but she was wearing something different ,something old like in the medieval period.The other one was an old man ..His was wearing some kind of armour ,his white beard was long till his chest.He looked like a king of sorts.

"Lina? ?!!!We have to do it,we have to kill him.He is dangerous for us and The people."The old man said furiously as he pointed his finger at me.

'"Please..He won't ..I promise.'"She requested.She got on her knees and begged.
"NO!!Mom!!Don't !!"I said,the words came out it itself.

-What?She is my Mom?-My body started moving itself.I tried to get up but one of the priest chanted something which didn't let me move.I was standing I some kind of circle which was glowing and had a weird star circle on whic the priest were standing.

"Stay where you are!I'll get it sorted out Don't worry ."Said my Mom, she smiled although tears rolled down her cheeks.The old man pulled my Mom up from her knees.
"Listen Lina you're the wisest of all the lightkeepers .You should be aware of the threat he can bring.He might not be aware of it but he can be turned anytime."The old man said with a calm voice.

"Father!"A voice said behind me.I recognized the voice .
"Alina? !Why are you here?"I said,again the words came out Itself.She was wearing a beautiful dress.She glanced at me,"Don't worry Sean... I won't let them."She said consoling me with a warm smile .I was no longer afraid.
She went to the place where old man and my Mom were standing.
"My Dear Alina why are you here?"The old man said.
"Father please!..I have a solution..You don't have to kill him..."She said to the Old man.
"Why do you care about this Shadocreep?"The Old Man asked as he looked at me with disgust in his face.

"Father ..Your wrong!...he might have a shadocreep's soul but he also the son of Lina Bright ,the strongest ,wisest and the most loyal Lightkeeper this kingdom has...And He is a great guy and
I love him with all my heart and my soul."She said.
I realised that feeling that I had been feeling before was...
Love....The old man widened his eyes and my Mom gave a bright smile .He took a deep breath and said.
"Alright...What is your solution?".Alina looked at me and smiled but her smile disappeared and she spoke.

"We'll have to wash his memories and he must live in the mortal world."She said with a sigh.
The old man and both my Mom were suprised.
"No...Alina!!I don't want to forget you or my Mom..Please No!!"I said ,words came out Itself once again.
"Will you be able to live while knowing he doesn't remember you?Are you willing to make the sacrifice?."The old Man asked looking at his daughter.
"At least he'll be safe..."She replied looking at me with the brightest smile I had seen

"Lina you must live with him to look after him.You must do your duty as a Mother."The old man said.
"I would've done the same even if you hadn't told me.He's my son after all."She said .
"Then,Its decided.Wash his Memories!!"The old man ordered the priests.
"NOO!!DON'T! !.."I screamed as the priest chanted together.
"Thy power bestowed upon us by the Holy Lord.REMOVE THY MEMORIES OF THIS WORLD AN EVERYONE IN IT FROM THY MIND OF THIS CREATURE!!!."They chanted as the circled glowed brighter.
"NO!!!"I screamed as I looked Alina's face..
Then Darkness...

"T....that was."I said taking heavy breaths.I was back at that dark place.
"Yes ..they were our forgotten memories!""He said.
"They washed our memories and banished us in this mortal land!!."He said clutching my hair ..forcing me to stare at his face.
"You still don't want to accept me?!!"He asked with a evil calmness in his voice.
"No..."I said as I grabbed his hand and removed it from my hair.I stood up.

"What did you say?!.."He asked suprised from my action.
"I said no..Why should I accept you??...You were the reason I was called a Beast!!..I am not you!!!.You are not me!!!I said my fear was subsiding slowly...

"You changed huh??This will be fun!!!"
