She ran away with no hope of seeing Emeran ever again. But she couldn't weep over it, she had to run. She knew they would come for her. She knew she would die in the end. But for now? She would just run.
~.*.~
She didn't know how long she ran, but she knew that at some point she stopped and took a breath.
She gulped in the air as she smiled. She was happy to be gone. But the smile only lasted for a second. She had to keep running.
After a long while she knew she had to find water. She searched the ground for smooth rocks, and to her relief, she found a trail of small rocks. She ran and ran as the rocks got bigger.
She was really glad to see a huge river flowing down through the woods.
She ran up to the stream and drank. And drank. It was heaven.
But when she looked up, the water was gone. The former stream was a pit now. She gasped as she took a step back.
The mud started stirring and rising. Emery screamed and ran back, but still watching the mud.
It rose and started to form a building. The building was large and brown.
She walked slowly up to the tower and knocked on the door. But if someone was in there, they were dead now. She opened the door and walked in.
It was like walking into a big lab. It had T.V.s and computers and other things you would find in a lab. It's walls were cracked and she felt suddenly lonely. She turned around to leave, but when she turned around she found Thane.
He laughed, "You think your mind tricks can kill me? Oh no, if you thought that, you were very wrong."
