Had I heard her soft voice correctly? Was that sarcasm? When I looked up her small figure was gone and I was left alone, in the empty hallway.

It wasn't until I heard the principle's voice, that I looked back up. I stared at the older lady scolding me.

"Melissa, there have been rumour that you have a weapon on school property. If this is true, I will not deal with this. I will call the police to handle it."

"I... Uh- It wasn't me." I stumbled on my words, trying to explain to this woman that I had nothing to do with it. It wasn't looking good for me since the knife was sitting on the shelf in my open locker. Not only that it looked like there was blood smeared on it. I didn't even want to know what the person did to make it look like that.

"You can not tell me those lies. I can clearly see something resembling a weapon in your locker." As she pulled the weapon out of my locker, holding it only with her index finger and thumb, she finally noticed the blood looking stains dripped across it. My principle's face went completely pale. The knife fell from her trembling hands and clattered to the floor.

"What.. Who.. What did you.. did you do?!" Her expression now looked disgusted and terrified. I could tell that this was going to be more trouble for me than I thought.

"You have this all wrong. This is a huge misunderstanding. You have to believe me. Someone-" I was cut off immediately.

"I am not dealing with this. I am calling the police. You are to wait right here, or it will be more trouble for you."

Great, that's just what I needed. They are going to think that my meds aren't working. If I was causing problems like this they could send me away, and I didn't want to even think of that. Even though wherever they took me would probably be better than here. Wasn't like there was anything here for me. I might as well go away, I feel crazy enough.

Before I could think of what I was going to say to the police when they got there, they had already arrived. That was fast. They were probably waiting for me by the school. Waiting until I did something dangerous.

I tried to block out all the rush around me. Instead of just  one or two police officers showing up, there was the whole police force. Did she tell them I killed someone?

"You need to answer some questions." I knew this police officer from the many other encounters with him. They would love to just lock me up already.

"It isn't mine. Someone put it in my locker. I don't know who's blood that is, or if it's even blood. I don't know who put it in my locker. I think everyone would be out to frame me for something like this." I was answering off all the questions that the officer gave me. I was beginning to think that he wasn't going to listen. Then I remembered something. Whoever left the knife, left a note.

"Wait. There was a note left with the knife in my locker." The officer looked at me unconvinced.

I pulled out the note that I had threw in the bottom of my locker. After reading, they seemed a little more convinced. I guess no crazy house for me.

"So are you thinking that this was a threat against you?" The officer asked. After he had mentioned that I never realized it that way. I just thought it was a cruel prank. Was someone threatening me? Or trying to get me locked away. Almost the whole town wanted that last choice though.
