What the Hell

Sorry I haven't done the story for like forever I had college and exams :( Then I had a busy start of the summer meaning no time to do any writing and it asolutely sucked D:

The next week flew by but I had the feeling I was always being watched all the time because Marcus was guarding me with my thoughts and when I was at school but at least I was being protected by bad things. I hadn’t seen Paul at all the last week but he said he was staying at Liam’s house to my Dad but I know he was lying because Liam had denied it to me. I didn’t tell my Dad because I was scared what Paul might have done if I had grassed on him. Dad had been out a lot as well with Janet so I mainly had the house to myself and I did again tonight. It was the end of school so I was walking back home with Liam because someone had to protect me at all times. It got annoying but at least I got to spend time with both people even though I don’t really know who I liked more but at the moment I really enjoyed spending time with Marcus and Liam. Natalie had stopped being so mean to me after the incident with Marcus at the cinema but occasionally she gave me evils when Liam and I walked home. It was easy for Liam to protect me because he lived next door so if I was in trouble he could hear but sometimes I felt like I was trapped and I could never be alone from anybody. I finally got to my door.

“Thanks for walking me home again Liam.” I said in a quiet and dull way since I repeated this everyday and he always tells me not to.

“No problem and Lola, watch out.” He said and I pulled a face since that wasn’t what he normally said. I followed where his eyes were looking and saw Paul’s bedroom window open meaning Paul was inside.

“I will do. If you hear me scream come running.” I joked but Liam didn’t really find it funny so I just waved goodbye and walked into the house. As I put my bag down in the dining room Paul entered. He looked rough as if he hadn’t slept in a week. His hair looked like he hadn’t washed it or even attempted to make himself look neat. As he lifted his head to look up at me his eyes were red and puffy as if he had been crying and stubble had been starting to grow on his face. He attempted a sorry smile but it just made him look more ill than when he had before.

“Lola.” He choked out in a rough voice. This wasn’t my brother he seemed to beaten up and homeless for this.

“Paul?” I asked him even though I knew it was him but didn’t want to believe it.

“No.. It’s Mr Blobby.” He said sarcastically but letting out a chesty cough when laughing.

“What happened to you Paul?” I said not wanting to get any closer because he smelt bad. He just looked down as he thought of what to say to me. His hand was shaking madly and I was scared he was going to get angry again. He looked up at me and his eyes looked evil but full of a lot of secrets.

“I don’t know why Lola. My life was pretty much perfect and now it has fallen apart. What happened to me?” The question was directed at himself but he didn’t know the answer. “One minute I am having dinner then I..” He stopped himself as a tear fell down his face. “I didn’t mean to hurt you Lola. I don’t know what happened.” He repeated. I started to cry because he wasn’t the brother I was used to. I know him as being cocky and confident and this boy in front of me was vulnerable and weak. I walked forward to touch his arm and he snatched his arm away from me. “Don’t touch me Lola.” He shouted at me. He looked shocked but just stepped back away from me.  “I am sorry Lola.” He said but ran away. I was shocked and stood there for the next 5 minutes wondering what just happened. Was this all a dream? I heard the shower going so he must be in there. I went into the living room and just watched TV but my mind was distracted on the way Paul had been towards me.

I woke up 2 hours later and I realised I was hungry. I must have been really distracted that I didn’t even realise that I fell asleep. The doorbell went and I looked at the time and went to open the door. I hadn’t heard any movement upstairs so Paul might have gone out again or just very quiet. I saw Kate at the door and she greeted me with a smile.
