Where was I? And how did I get here? It was all strange but somehow familiar. I remembered I had been here before but I couldn’t place where I actually was. I lifted myself up but I was really weak and collapsed back on the bed again and my head started pounded. Was I really drunk or something? My eyes took over me again and I fell asleep.
I dreamt that Paul was attacking me and he was with a gang of people and they were all surrounding me. As they got closer and light started to beam out of me and it made all of them back away from me until this evil woman came and stabbed me in the stomach where the light was. It didn’t take long for me to wake up screaming. I was still in the same place as before but this time Marcus and Liam were here. I had never been so happy to see them both together. They both came rushing over and I didn’t know who to look at. I was sweating and I was really hungry. “I will get you something now. That dream won’t come true Lola trust me. I won’t let anyone ever get close enough to you to do that.” He said stroking my hair back to cool me off a bit and I smiled. I was so grateful I had Marcus he was like a best friend to me. Liam looked clueless.
“Hey what is going on?” He said and I forgot he didn’t know about Marcus’ ability.
“He must have guessed about me dream. It isn’t hard to guess really.” I said making an excuse for Marcus.
“Lola I know that he can read minds I just wanted to know your dream.” Liam explained and it made me smile that they were getting along now and he won’t be angry for me being with Marcus. I heard Marcus snort in the corner.
“I wouldn’t go as far as saying we get along Lola we just both agree your health is important.” Marcus explained and Liam just kept looking at me.
“Okay. Next topic” I said awkwardly incase there was a fight. “Why am I here in your bed?” Marcus smiled and winked at me and I suddenly went red and he laughed.
“No not that. By the way you weren’t drunk something bad happened last year causing you to collapse and you have only just woken up.” Marcus explained.
“What I have been here for a year? What I am confused? Are you serious!?” I said looking panicked and looked at Liam who was staring at Marcus with an evil look. I looked back at Marcus and he was laughing.
“Lola you are really gullible. You passed out last night because someone was attacking you from the inside and we have possible reason to believe it was your brother.” It all came flooding back to me. I remember Paul grabbing hold of my wrists and pushing me then this agonizing pain and then nothing.
“At least it wasn’t that long my Dad would have gone mad at you then Liam. I would expect you two not to be here anymore.” I joked and teased them. “I think my Dad still has his gun.” I added on and Liam almost looked scared.
“She is only teasing Liam calm down.” Marcus said then started to laugh.
“Yeah I know” He said not sounding very convincing to anybody. I grabbed out my hand to squeeze Liam’s hand. I looked into his eyes and smiled. He was really cute when he really was clueless. I heard Marcus sigh. I looked over and he looked a bit sad. ‘Okay you are cute too’ I thought while smiling at Marcus and that made him smile back. He winked at me again and it made me blush.
“Anyway, I have to go home now. Where does my Dad think I am?” I asked looking at Marcus and Liam for an answer.
“He thinks you went for a sleepover at Kate’s because she was really really upset.” Liam explained. “Don’t worry I made it convincing.” Liam said reassuring me. I got up and my head stopped hurting as much and I got out of Marcus’ bed.
