I got up and got dressed into my black tank top with high-waisted denim jeans and put my hair into a messy bun. I went downstairs grabbed Hunter's smoothie and went out the house (skipping brushing teeth part). I walked over to Tyler's house and waited under the front tree. After 5 minutes he came out and we started our adventure. I felt like this was going to be a good day. We got to the park and sat down on the grass. I was leaning against a tree, able to see the pavement and Tyler was facing me with his back to the pavement. We were talking and we added each other on our social media's until I saw Chris walking alone. "Chris, hi!" I yell out to him. He stops and looks at me and then walks off without replying to me. I have to admit, I was a bit hurt with him not replying to me. "Who's that Bailee? Is he your boyfriend or something?" Tyler asks "No, he's just a friend" I saw staring off at the pavement.
Chris' POV
I got to the park, knowing Bailee and this new guy Tyler would be there and I wanted to see if she had any interest in him. I started walking around and looking until I spotted them sitting and laughing. I decided to act natural and walk past. "Chris, hi!" A familiar voice calls to me. Bailee. I freeze and stop to look at her, then I continue not replying to her.
Bailee's POV
I told Tyler I was feeling a bit sick so we both went back to our houses and called it a day. I wasn't actually feeling sick but I wanted to talk to Chris. I have a feeling that somethings going on with him. I went into my backyard and climbed the fence that's between my house and Chris' house. I climbed up the side fence near his window and got onto the roof. I opened his window and climbed onto his bed. He was listening to music and studying at his desk, so I decided to sneak up on him. "Boo!" I yell. He jumps and gives a girly scream. "Wtf Bailee! Don't do that- oh, it's you..." He says. "I came to ask why you didn't say hi back to me today. I was a bit hurt. I know I've been avoiding you too, but I want to patch it up and continue to be friends." When I say friends, Chris' eyes widen up and his face looks a bit hurt. "Listen Bailee, I want to patch things up too, but what you said with 'friends'. Um I want to tell you that I think I have feelings towards you that are more than friends. Do you feel the same way?" He says. This came as a massive shock to me. Chris Lanzon having feelings for me. Yeah, I've always wanted him to say I like you and that in my dreams, but when he actually says it, it makes me re-think. "Chris, thank you for saying that, I'm just not sure about my feelings right now. Is it ok if I have 2 or 3 days to think about it?" I say trying to sound as nice as possible. "Uh, yeah sure! Take as long as you need!" He says running his hand through his hair. I give him a quick hug and go out the window, back to my habitat.
