Chris' POV
It was 2 days after Ethan and I had the chat about Bailee breaking up with me. He had come up with the idea of talking to Bailee's dad about our relationship and then if he agreed to us being together, I would ask her to be my girlfriend.
Today was the day I was going to talk to her dad. I put on my jeans and a t-shirt and go over to Bailee's house. She wasn't home because I saw her and her mum go out so hopefully they don't come back anytime soon while I'm there.
*ding dong*, I pressed the doorbell and I wait for someone to come and answer the door. "Can I help you?" It was Bailee's dad. "Hi, I'm Chris Lanzon, from next door. I'm your daughters ex-boyfriend, I was hoping that I could talk to you." I say, hoping from a nice response from him. "Uh, ok, come in." He says and closes the door behind me.
We go to the living room and sit on the couch. "Why have you come to talk to me?" He asks. "Well, I heard a rumour saying that Bailee was told to break up with me because you didn't want us to be together." I say. "Yes, that is true." He says "May I ask why you did that?" I ask as politely as I possibly can while trying to pressure him into answering me.
"I just don't want my little girl getting hurt, I don't know you personally so that's why. I don't know what you might do to her, not saying that you would, but I don't fully trust you because I don't know you." He says. "I understand, how about we could spend an hour or two getting to know each other so then you'd know what I'm like." I suggest "You know what, that sounds like an alright idea, how about we start now?" He says "Sure, but, do you know when Bailee will be getting back. I want to leave this as a surprise." I say "She'll be back after lunch, so we have plenty of time." He says.
*skip to end of them talking and stuff*
"You know what Chris, I really like you. I think you'd be a perfect boyfriend for Bailee. But, just remember I've got my eye on you. If you do anything to hurt her, you won't be seeing daylight again." Bailee's dad says "Thank you." I say and walk out of their house.
I go back to my house and call Ethan. "Hey Ethan, your plan worked! Bailee's dad loves me and he's agreed for us to be together!" I explain "Wow, that's amazing!" He says "I don't know what to do to ask her to be my girlfriend though." I say "that's ok, I'll come over tomorrow with Jakob and we can help you find something for her." Ethan says
