•Previously on I love you•

"You and Phil were cuddling!!" She blushes and shakes her head "were not!" I didn't want to argue so I just rolled my eyes and layers down on the mattress that Dan and Phil had put in the room for us "(Y/n)?" I heard Melody say from the bed "Yeah?" I ask. I hear nothing for a second, but, then she goes on "Do you like Dan?" I shook my head and answered "No, I don't like Dan."

Lies

•Now the chapter•
"Whatever you say. I know he likes you though, it's not that obvious to see, but you can see it." Melody says.

She rolls over to the other side of the bed and all I could think of, was Dan. So, I opened the door and walked out. Approaching Dans door, I heard two voices talking. I knew it was Dan and Phil, but I couldn't make out the words that were being said between the two. So, I just knocked.

Dan opened the door, he looked slightly sad, but why? Dan motioned me to come in, I did. When I walked in I sat on his bed and spoke,
"Dan?"
Was all I could get out before he broke down and started crying. I sat there not knowing what to do, I looked around the room before letting out a sigh.
"Dan, what's wrong?"
Dan stood there sobbing wiping the tears away from his own eyes.

I stood up and walked over to the tall boy standing in front of me.
"Dan, I can't fix it if you don't tell me what's wrong.."
All I got out of him was him shaking his head, still wiping his tears. I had nothing else to do, so I hugged him.

Once I hugged him, it was Almost as if he had stopped, but he didn't. He was still crying. I hate seeing him cry, and this is only the first time.

"(Y-Y/n)... My mom.. Was- was in a wreck and- and they sa-say she prob- probably won't make- make it." Dan said threw sobs.

"Danny, I'm so sorry." I said hugging him tighter.

               ~Time skip threw crying~

Dan was lying on his bed sound asleep from crying so much, his face was still tear stained. I was sitting next to his sleeping body and rubbing his back soothingly.
"Dan, you're a mess..."
I stopped rubbing his back and stood up to walk out of the room.

I got into the room Melody and I were staying in. Melody was sitting on the bed with her laptop in her lap.
"So, how was Dans room?" She said looking up from her laptop to me.
"It was very saddening actually." I answered.
"I see."

I sat down on the bed and lied down covering up with the covers.
"(Y/n)," Melody said, "What exactly happened to make that upsetting?"

I looked up at her and shook my head.
"He'll explain it if he wants you to know."

With that conversation, I fell asleep.

~Time skip to the middle of the night~

"(Y/n).. (Y/n), wake up." I heard a male voice say.
"Mmm.." I rolled over to meet the face of Dan, "Dan, it's in the middle of the night. What are you doing up?"
"I can't sleep..." He answered.

I giggled quietly and sat up.
"Okay, let's go to your room then."

Dan smiled and I stood up. We walked out the door into the darkness of the hallway. Dan stayed close to me until we entered his room.

I jumped onto his bed and covering up in the duvet.
"Dan, your bed is really comfortable."
"Thank you.."

I sat up in his bed and patted the spot next to me. Dan shuffled into his bed and lied down. I could barely keep my eyes open, but I had to, I'm going to have to go back into mine and Melody's room when I get him to sleep.

"Why can't you sleep?" I asked.
"I don't know."
"Do you want me to rub your back?"

Dan nodded at my question and rolled over on his stomach and rolled over on my side starting to rub his back.

After a while he finally fell asleep, but then soon realized I wasn't going to be able to get out of the bed without waking him back up.

I curled up next to him gathering the body heat coming from Dan and fell asleep next to the cute, brown haired, brown eyed boy.
