Chapter 1

I couldn't believe it... Still. I still hoped it was all a dream, that my mother had a heart attack. I don't even know if she is still alive. And what makes it even worse is that Ahren left us for Camille. I was screaming at him in my head how terrible he made everyone's life and how terrible he is!!!

I was so consumed in my own thoughts that I didn't hear the nock on my door, it was a guard. "Princess, your needed in the hospital wing immediately!"

I ran to the hospital wing as fast as I could. All I was thinking was, is Mom okay is she still alive?

As soon as I got there I heard a muffled crying... No, sobbing as much as a person could sob in their life. It was a terrible sound. As soon as I heard it I knew what had happened.

Mom was dead.

"Noooooooo!!!!" I cried. Running into the room, I saw my dad huddled up on a chair crying. Crying.

He never cried in front of me, or anywhere where people could hear him.

I ran to him. We cried together. Then the doctor came in.

He said,"She's not dead yet, but she will be soon, so calmly say your goodbyes now if you are able to."

"Mom!" I screamed " don't die now please, I need you. If you die I will turn into a poor soulless little girl without a mother. Don't you dare do that to me! I need you!"

"Sweetheart. Goodbye." America, my beloved Mother and the Queen of our country, struggled to say, no, mumble. Her head sank into the pillow and that was it. She was dead.
