The weeks after that, I was elated.

I saw Faye and Christian at least once a day, but I usually just smiled at them. I was happy for them in a sense. Faye smiled back, yet Chris just kept looking away, even looking a little scared.

Walking into English on Thursday with Kayla and Lisa, I laughed so freaking hard at something Kayla said, and saluted to Miss Pylik as I took my seat next to Toyah, naturally.

She grinned at me and said.

"Elliot and Kate are coming over this weekend."

"Aw, awesome!" Elliot and Kate were like Toyah's family. They barely visited, and when they did, it was an occasion. Toy was even allowed off school to see them.

"Yeah. I missed them so much." she told me.

Another guy I met a few weeks ago, while in my progress, he was so funny, walked in.

"Hey Cricket." Taylor winked. I never did know why he called me that...

I rolled my eyes, and he sat next to Toyah. He smiled at her, and something flashed through my chest. Confused, I turned back to the front and Miss started the lesson.

Hearing the bell for lunch, I grabbed my bag and left Miss Pylik's classroom, while trying not to look at Taylor. He was a really nice guy, and went to the gym A LOT, so he had one of those bodies that he constantly showed off. Even though I was avoiding his eye contact, I still managed to lock eyes with him, and he winked before turning to a pretty girl in our class and started flirting with her.

I immediately knew he was a lost cause. What was I trying to do? Replace Christian? Replace Zacharie? I sighed. I wasn’t even going to try anything with Taylor, he was too good for me.

Someone suddenly grabbed my hand. Toyah.

"Come on, dopey." She dragged me outside, where the others were already sat on the grass, trying to soak up as much sun as they could.

We laid down and chatted, and I was totally out of it until Zacharie and Bella blocked our sun.

"Hey!" we all exclaimed.

Zach smirked, and sat down next to me, but instead of laying the right way up, he turned about 90 degrees and laid on me and Toyah's tummies.

"Urgh." Toyah moaned. "Of course I get the feet. Your lucky, Bennie."

Zach chuckled a little, and I just rolled my eyes, trying not to think about Zacharie laying on me.

Everyone's eyes started closing, and I realised people were actually falling asleep. Hesitantly, I started stroking Zach's hair, and he moaned softly in response.

"That feels nice." he whispered.

I continued doing it for quite a while, until his quiet moans stopped and his mouth slacked and he fell asleep.

I felt my eyes droop too, and I too fell under.

I was awoken by Zach clambering off me. I felt Toy getting up too, and I put my hands in front of my face to see better.

"Did the bell go?" I asked.

"No shit Sherlock." Calie and Claire said in unison, before looking at each other weirdly.

I stood up, groaning a little, before helping Bella up, because she literally looked dead.

She took my hand and we both pulled, but her tug was stronger than mine, and I would have crashed to the ground, but Zach's hands wrapped around my waist, and he pulled me to him. Bella came up with me, and she, being Bella, started screaming with laughter for some reason.
