Chapter Eighteen- Missing
“Zayn?” I called.
He wasn’t in bed next to me; his spot was actually cold. I didn’t hear anything coming from the bathroom and everyone was quiet downstairs.
Standing, I made my way to the bathroom, searching for my raven-haired hybrid, not finding him anywhere in the room as I moved my search to the closet.
I went downstairs, flicking on a few lights and looking around the house. I heard a car door slam shut, but the sound didn’t even register to me until thirty minutes later, when I realized all the Malik’s had gone. All of them.
Darting back upstairs, I snatched my phone from the bedside table and dialed Liam’s number, impatiently waiting for him to pick up.
When he didn’t, I began to grow even more panicked, tempted to call the cops but resisting, knowing Liam didn’t like to answer the phone while driving.
I keep bleeding, keep keep bleeding in lo- I grabbed my phone, quickly answering Liam’s call and pressing the phone to my ear.
“Liam?”
“Hey Lou, I’m at the airport. The Malik’s have already gone to their gate.”
“Is Zayn with them?"
Silence.
“Is. Zayn. With. Them.” I growled into the phone.
“Yes.” Liam finally answered, sounding defeated.
“But why?”
“He wanted to go with them, Louis. I tried to tell him he shouldn’t go but he didn’t let up.”
“H-he wanted to go?” I stuttered, my heart beginning to shatter.
“He left you a note by your phone. I’ll see you when I get home, Louis.” And with that, Liam hung up.
Shakily, I looked over to the table and found a small folded paper sitting neatly next to my phone, hardly disturbed by my frantic movements.
Moving my hand over, I took a deep breath and picked it up, unfolding it carefully and reading over the words scrawled carefully onto the paper.
I whimpered, dropping the note and curling into a ball, tears beginning to stream down my face.
Zayn.
I just wanted my little scared hybrid back.
Louis,
By the time you read this I’ll have already at least boarded the plane with my family.
I’ve decided to go back.
I want to connect more with my younger sisters and I’ve just only gotten my Mum back. I miss Doniya and Dad and I want to see if anything’s changed, if anyone remembers me.
I’m sorry Louis. I want to stay with you, I do, but I don’t want to give up my Mum. Not now.
I-
I’m sorry I left.
I love you.
Zayn

Okay, now I’m really cruel.
I won’t do another ‘THE END’ until the actual ‘END’ of the book. I’m sorry for being mean.
However, this chapter isn’t over.
Ironic, isn’t it?
Yeah, just wanted to say a quick something.
Continue on.
~COUPLE WEEKS LATER~ GRAB THE TISSUES GIRLS AND BOYS, THINGS ARE ABOUT TO GET DOWNRIGHT SAD.
“Louis, come on. You have to eat.” Liam’s gentle voice tried to persuade me, but I resisted.
Ignoring him, I stared blankly at the wall, my face an expression of how I felt.
Empty.
Now, without Zayn, I realized just how much I’d grown attached to him. Every time I woke up I expected to be greeted either by his golden eyes or his sleeping face. I missed the slight tickle his tail gave me whenever it brushed against my ankle, or the silky feel of his hair and ears between my fingertips, his soft purrs and gentle voice.
It fucking hurt to lose someone you love, I’ll tell you that.
“Louis, please.”
“I want Zayn.”
Liam sighed, resting a hand on my back.
“We all do, Louis. I know we won’t ever miss him as much as you do but what good is it doing you if you just lay here, wasting away? The Louis I know wouldn’t let this faze him. He’d go after his cat and get him back.”
Liam was right. That I know. If I ever wanted Zayn back, I’d have to fight for him, and there was no way in hell I’d ever let him go to someone else.
“I hate it when you’re right.” Liam only chuckled.
“Eat before you leave.” He said, exiting my room.
With a sigh, I sat up and looked at the plate Liam left for me.
“May as well start now.” I muttered, wolfing down the plate. I know if Niall had been there to watch I would’ve made him proud.
~THREE HOURS, A PLANE FLIGHT AND AN ANNOYING FLIGHT ATTENDANT (AIR HOSTESS) LATER~
I looked at the address that Tricia had texted me, slipping into the cab and repeating the words to the driver.
Twenty minutes later I was standing in front of 102 Esther Dr., Bradford, England. (A/N- I’m sure as hell that street nor address exists.)
Making my way to the French doors in the front, I rang the doorbell.
Barking accompanied the doorbell and soon it was hushed before the door opened, revealing two golden eyes I’d missed.
“Hi Zayn.”
