Love at first sunlight

My black hair flowed in the drifting wind alongside my cloak. A bit old fashioned by today's standards.

The sun was setting over the treeline in the small city of Patch near the ocean. I enjoyed this time in the day.

Twilight a time when beauty was at its height for me. But today I felt uneasy watching it.

I turned to my left allowing my cloak to flow against the wind to find a girl staring at me with golden catlike eyes. She wore a beautiful black and white blouse that hugged her body and pants that matched.

The view of her with the sunlight on her face tugged at an unknown emotion for me. I believe a rising heat in my cheeks and I struggled to get my words out.

"w..Who ar....are you?" I stuttered turning my eyes away from her face and to the nearby leaves of the oak.

Her voice was like liquid chocolate " I am Blake Belladonna. Nice to meet you. I noticed you enjoying the view of the sunset over the ocean."

Bringing my eyes back up my cheeks inflamed, I am sure I was blushing her eyes were lit with amusement and light. The sunlight caught upon her black hair making it look like shadows mixed with liquid gold. Stunning.

" I am Ruby.. Ruby Rose nice to meet you." I extended my hand which she took and shook it. It sent electricity through me making me want her to touch me more.

"Well Ruby, I want to be friends would you enjoy that." She smiled making me notice her bow twitch a little but I didn't want to pry seeing as it is not my business. I found a timid smile reach my lips but I couldn't help but want more.

"Of course Blake. Here is my number." I write down the digits and she does the same in a black bound notebook. Sticking the paper in my pocket and turning from my new friend I skip home happily.

Opening the door to my home that was shared with family. I walk into the room to not wake them if they are sleeping. Looking at the old wood that made up the house. The stairs that led to my room and my siblings rooms. Yes I have two siblings. A older sister Yang. She is a loving sister who does party to much.

And a older brother. Omega. He is very protective of me and the rest of the family. He is currently dating a girl next door with white hair and blue eyes, Everyone calls her ice queen but he calls her his snow princess.

"Ruby you are late getting home sweetheart anything bad happen?" I walk in on my mother sitting in the living room on the couch. Her deep brown hair curling in on her white cloak that she wore wherever she went. She is part of the reason I wear mine everywhere.

"No mom quite the opposite, I made a brand new friend when I was watching the sunset." I smile while I blush and she jumps from the couch.

"My baby girl finally has a crush." She smiles at me with glee in her eyes grasping my hands within hers.

"What is his or her name." Mom smiles upon me giving me her gigawatt smile.

"Blake Belladonna. I don't have a crush either." The heat rising to my face was so evident my mom chuckled.

"It is ok honey." She spun me like I was still a young girl. Making the cloak spin around me making me giggle a little.

I am glad that I meet her but what is this feeling I get when I think about her.
