RWBY Lost

Broken spirits.

Omega's POV

The sight of a man abusing a women is enough to make me want to kill someone. Adam was extremely lucky that a cop happened to interfere.  The sight of his hands on Ruby and then backhanding  and causing the extreme bruising on my sister's love's face or that is what I assume that they have. And a broken femur that snapped like a twig. The sight is gruesome as we carried her out the pain got too intense for her to handle on that leg.

I had to carry the poor young gal bridal style. I hope Weiss doesn't see this or she would assume I was cheating on her. Ruby had opened the door and bringing Blake onto the couch so mom could put that leg in a splint.

I hope she will be ok.

Ruby's POV

Blake's leg looked really bad. It went off to a odd angle that a leg was never meant to go. Mom was in the other room getting the supplies. Mom works at the nearby hospital in the mornings. She was trying to be as gentle as possible with the leg.

"You are actually lucky miss? Ruby what is the girl's name?" Mom asked looking at me with concerned eyes and bringing the nearby pain medicine to Blake and forcing her to take it.

"It is Blake mom." I tried to get this over with. I hated that our date ended like that.  

"Well she is lucky honey it is just a complex bruise.She will be able to walk on her own two feet in about a week." Mom ringed out a  small rag laying it on Blake's exposed skin.

"Thanks miss Rose." Blake smiled up to her. Her eyes began to waver giving way to blessed sleep for the medicine had taken effect the cute mewing sounds of Blake snoring made me feel like I was a drowning inside the love I had for her.

"Ruby honey would you meet me in the kitchen?" Mom gripped my hand and the worry began to set in. Surely mom would scold me for being in love with a girl. Taking me the few steps into the kitchen careful not to wake Blake.

"Are you in love with that girl?" Mom's blue eyes seemed to bore into my soul with a frenzy. My cheeks turned into my namesake's color Rose red. Mom took that as a yes and sighed.

"Ruby I don't care that you are in love with a girl but a Faunus? I don't want you to be in the sights of everyone the seeing you as a reject." Mom's black hair hide the tears flowing from her eyes.  The silver tears made the streaks even more heart breaking. "Please don't see her again."

Those words tore my heart like a dagger. Silver streaks just like mom's own filled my own silver eyes showing I was a daughter of the Roses. I couldn't gaze upon Blake without feeling like I was placed in a inferno making my flesh feel like it was light aflame.

"Mo...Mom plea..please don't make me choose between the two of you." The tears were running down my face freely  the silver tears falling to the ground making stains that I would never unsee in my life.

"Ruby.. I love you honey but I want the best for you. In Patch you are of age honey. Do you want to live with Blake?" Summer asked the hard question pushing my back into a corner figuratively.  To choose against family and love. I knew the choice. "Mom I choose Blake, She needs someone that loves her. I know I can always talk to you if needed." I frown at her next words as they feel like a torture was bieng done to my very soul.

"You don't understand Ruby.... I don't want you back here if you cannot let her go." Summer wiped the tears from her face as she hugged me and gathered my things awaiting the awakening of Blake.

Blake's POV

The dream started like any other I have had since Adam as a nightmare. The sky rained blood as the drops hit my face making crimson tears across the deep white of my skin giving myself a ghoulish appearance.

The screams haunted my very soul until the world was shattered by light from the sky. A person appeared in the sky. Silver eyes and black hair that had natural red highlights near the bottom. A red cloak on her shoulders. 

Ruby. She is the light that causes the nightmares to dissipate.  The smile of hers in the sky shattered the nightmare causing me to flashback to the times I have shared with her thus far. Our meeting at sunset near the shores of Patch. The movies her sleeping quietly on my shoulder the heat of her face causing shivers to jolt through me. 

The kisses we have taken from each other. I am sure I was her first kiss. She was awkward but loving. How I feel for this young girl.

Shifting in sleep as my dream continued. I saw what I wanted for a future. Ruby in a wedding gown and Me in a tux.  Us having kids by one of us being a  surrogate for a child...or two. Ruby and I being a happy family along with grandkids that would hug our legs and take too much from Ruby's side of the family as being fast and mine by being agile as a cat.

These images caused tears to flow down my waking face. The first thing as I awoke was the room spinning slightly. Omega sat with a book in his hands in a chair away from the kitchen facing me. He closed the book tightly when he saw me awake.

"I want you to take care of sis okay." Omega ran from the room into the kitchen as I was about to ask what was going on. Just as I was to try getting up Ruby's mom came into the room her face stern and red eyed as she has been crying.

"Blake... I....." Tears started to flow freely down her face." Will you take Ruby in?" Summer pulled her hood over her face hiding the tears that flowed onto the hardwood with frequency. 

"Yes...Do you not want Ruby because of me?" Putting my face in my hands as the question caused Ruby's mom to look angrily at me then soften.

" Yes and No. Yes because of your race but that isn't because you are a faunus it is because of what others will treat her like when they find out. No because I want Ruby to be happy and she seems to want to be with you." Summer smiled at the last bit and yelled for Omega to get me up.

"Blake... You and Ruby are welcome back anytime." Summer hugged me in Omega's arms before she opened the door with Ruby carrying a giant bag on her back.

The walk from the house in Omega's arms took forever but we finally made it home. I told Ruby we would make room for her stuff when I could finally walk again. Ruby's mom or Summer as Ruby told me her name was gave me pain medicine that would also reduce the swelling.

Ruby I am glad you are able to stay but I am sorry for making you lose your home. The thought caused tears to go down my face making Ruby look at me with concern.

"What's wrong Blake?" Her face was the picture of innocence as the question caused me to wipe my tears.

"Ruby I am sorry...." I started but before I could start more Ruby hushed me.

"Blake. What happened broke my spirits but I choose you. You need someone to love you like you deserve. I love you Blake." Ruby smiled at the last bit putting a sleeping bag on near the bag to not disturb my leg.
