Amelie's POV

Jim and I arrived at New York City three days ago, and to be honest, I've gotten used to being here pretty fast. I love NYC.

The opening show of An Act of God is tonight, and Jim has been practicing nervously all day long for his performance, though I don't get tired to repeat to him that it's perfect.

I turn over to Jim, who is walking around the room with his eyes fixed on the flashcards in his hands, repeating and repeating the lines; his suit already on and ready to go.

I stand up from the chair I'm sitting in, and start towards him slowly, trying my best to avoid interrupting. Once he is done with the line he's reviewing, I take his arm gently, and he turns to me.

"You will do great," I say, Jim smiling at my words.

"I'm very nervous."

I kiss him on the cheek, smiling again.

"Don't be, you are awesome. I'll go change now because we should leave to the theatre in a few."

Jim lets out a breath, trying to calm down.

"Sure," he says, gulping.

I start towards the closet. Since the opening night is a big deal, I should wear a nice cocktail dress. I move things around my wardrobe, trying to find the best thing to wear...at the end of the day, I AM the wife of the star here...the very proud wife.

I look around, and find an elegant and beautiful, long-sleeve, navy blue cocktail dress that has several gems on the edges of the sleeves. My hair and makeup are thankfully done already, and I just get changed, then wearing a pair of nice, beige high-heels.

I am ready, and I walk out of the closet, finding Jim with his phone on his hands.

"Ready?" he asks, as he looks up at me.

"Ready," I reply.

We walk out of our beautiful condo, and then down the elevator. I see Jim rubbing his hands nervously as we walk towards the car, and I hold his hand tightly, trying to calm him down.

"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Parsons," says Bruno, the man who is taking us to the theatre.

"Good evening," we reply, as he opens the door for us.

Jim lets me in, and then he sits beside me, as Bruno starts driving through the streets of New York.

He makes a turn at 54th St., and then stops in front of the main doors of the theatre, as I can't control the excitement running around me.

Jim steps out the car, and then takes my hand to help me out. White flashes of the cameras are hitting my eyes as Jim and I walk with our hands locked together through the red carpet leading to the inside of the theatre, where I see many celebrities, athletes, directors, etc, that are coming to see the show, and are being interviewed or bombarded with pictures in front of the An Act of God wallpaper.

Thousands of cameras turn to us, as Jim steps inside. He shakes hands with several important people, and I shake hands with them, too. We then proceed to the wallpaper, and several pictures of the two of us are shot, as we pose. There are like a billion cameras in front of us, being the reason why I just smile and turn everywhere. Wow, so this is how it feels to be famous, huh?

After a few more shots, I move, since Jim will now take pictures alone. I see how he is handsomely smiling and posing in front of the paparazzi, but then...my sight is interrupted by a man with a microphone, and another with a camera.
