"Be here in a second," Alexis said to me walking towards the door. During the bitter sweet embrace Alexis had received a phone call which if my ear's didn't deceive me was very heated argument. Without a blink or even a second thought he left me in his office all alone. It made my heart ignite that he trusted me that much but what he did was wrong.
I walked over to his laptop and lifted the lid as it lit with light, his company's background came up. Like 99.9% of the computers in the world a password was required.
He should have not let me on my own. It was a big mistake. Alexis thought he knew everything about me but he didn't know my BIGGEST secret yet.
I'm a computer genius.
...No joke! I've been fascinated by computers ever since childhood. I got my portable device out of my bag and put it in a USB slot. Typing various codes to unlock the computer and then download all files onto the drive was like a puzzle. I tried to everything as quick as possible because downloading took a bit of time as well as cracking through the security wall. I had to also disable all devices that may affect the downloading. New desktops are almost impossible to hack into. The process was nearly complete as I stood on the tip of my toes waiting impatiently.
Then all of a sudden, I heard load footsteps approaching the door, as I quickly look over to see the download is complete and as I take of my hardware after shutting down the lid the door starts to open. Panicky I grasp the drive in my fist covering it and get as far away from the laptop as I can when I trip and jump forward.
Saving myself from the fall, Alexis walks in with a suspicious look, "You scared me!" I rein act, my hand dramatically over my heart.
Alexis smiles unsurely and strolls over towards the desk pushing slightly past me on his way. I tighten my grip round the drive. Laughing nervously, I move away.
Alexis goes behind his desk and lifts the lid of the laptop. My heart beating manically.
Alexis's jay clenches as he looks over to me.
"What have you done?" He questions, his dark voice overpowering.
My heart drops.
