Millions that cry beyond the wall
Shunned and turned away
The tired, the poor, and the huddle masses
overshadowed by the height of the wall
as hate breeds in the bed of ignorance
Our lady's torch extinguished; the beacon lost
along with Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
The scholars drown in debt; yearning for opportunity
The fat cats get by with saying "Too Big to Fail"
The young say "We are the future"
The collectors say "No, your the profit"
You make more for selling your body
then giving your compassion, your knowledge, and skills.
What is life without Liberty and a chance for happiness.
All lives matter, shed the same tears and blood
The color, the creed, and the culture matters not
Unalienable rights, for the Cross, The Star, and the Crescent moon.
and for those without a deity or affiliation.
Walls were made to be a barrier
Bridges were made to connect people from different sides of the river.
Reject this undeniable fact, and realize
The American dream is but just a dream.
