Cutting them Loose

"I really don't know what to do" said an officer to his collegue. "The lie detector proved that they don't know why Kyle Richardsons body is there instead of Callum Logans and we don't know where the body is"

"Cut her loose"

"What?"

"Until we have a body. We can't really charge her with murder. So make sure to get her passport and let her go"

"What about her husband?"

"That's a different matter. He's already got other charges against him."

"I think if we cut her loose we have to let him go to. He was the one to come clean first"

"Speaking of that, we have to bring in the sister for questioning" he sighed "alright. Let them both go, for now. But collect both there passports in case they flee the country"

Kylie was sat in the small room with her head on the desk waiting for the officer to return. She had no idea how long she had been waiting there for but she was started to get a sore head. Comstantly thinking of Callum and how his body was missing.

"Well Kylie" spoke an officer walking back into the room. "I now have the true story"

"I told you the true story"

"Davids cracked" The police officer watched as Kylie looked confused. "What?"

"Yeah he told us everything for a deal"

Kylie felt her heart hammering against her chest. "What did he ask for? Time off his sentance? That selfish pr-"

"No. Actually. He asked for you to get ten years or less or a suspended sentance"

Kylie looked at him surprised. "He did?"

"Yeah. Then he told us all about Sarahs plan and his involvment. I don't get why you took the full blame"

"I don't want my kids to grow up with no parents." Said Kylie shaking her head. "So what happens now"

"I'm letting you go"

"What?"

"No body, no case. It's only temperally. Once we find Callum, you will be back. You have to surrender your passport though"

"What about David"

"He's being released to but hes still being charged with dangerous driving, risking the lifes of children and stealing a vehicle"

"But he's still being released?"

"Yeah and we will be in contact when his court date is due"

"So when can i go"

"When your mother in law brings in your passport"

Kylie let out a sigh of relief as she waited for Gail to arrive. Knowing she was going to have some explaining to do when she got back to Coronation Street.

David had been escorted back to his cell after it was revealed that he was set to leave until Callums body was found.

He sat in his cell stairing at the four walls for an hour until the cell door opened and he was being escorted to the entrance of the police station. The first people he saw were Nick and Gail but he was more interested in seeing Kylie.

He quickly spotted her coming down a different hallway. Gasping, Kylie ran towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck. He sighed, holding her close. "I wasn't going to say anything. I really kept my mouth shut until after the lie detector"

"I know" Kylie smiled slightly as she pulled back from him. Tears glistening her eyes as David cupped her face, gently pressing his lips onto her forehead.
