We were shocked to put it plainly. Neither of us moved. These people, they scared me. They just seemed to pop out of nowhere.
"WERE FRIENDLY ITS OK!" Warren shouted to the woman.
"YOUR IN OAKRIDGE TERRITORY PUT YOUR HAND UP AND DROP YOUR WEAPONS!" The woman called again.
"These people don't seem friendly," Murphy scoffed.
"Shut up wise ass, let's do as were told people," Warren said over her shoulder.
We did as we were told and soon after we seen 5 flashlights click on. Against the darkened sky, the bright lights were painful. I shielded my eye and didn't see one of the people with a light walk over to me. I yelped as he grabbed me. After we were patted down we were shoved inside one of the trucks.
I had expected that the trucks would be warm, but I was wrong. They were freezing and I wasn't getting any drier.
After a few minutes of shaking I felt someone's arms wrap around me. Thankful for some warmth I looked up to who was hugging me. Not to my surprise it was 10k. I rested my head on his shoulder as he pulled me closer to him."We're halfway there!" The driver, a man, said.
When ever the moon drifted out from behind a cloud we got a full look at the deadly blades that we littered among the cab of the truck.
We sat in silence, my group waiting for someone to explain where we were being taken to. But none of us had the courage to ask. And with every bump my head hit the roof of the truck. It got to the point where I felt numb to the pain.
"We're here!" The driver said stopping the car."Now get out!" He yelled.
We filed out and found ourselves in front of a brightly lit, fenced in town.
"Welcome to OakRidge!" A woman said proudly, as the gates opened.
We walked in. I was holding 10k's hand tightly. The woman that had first yelled at us popped up in front of us. She had sandy blond hair only on half her head as the other half was shaved off. She had scarred pale skin and brown eyes. She wore a tan tank top and light grey jogging pants, complete with stained brown soccer cleats.
"I'm Casey, leader of OakRidge. Now if you all follow me I'll show you to your rooms," she said beckoning us with her hand. We walked through the deserted streets.
"Where is everyone?" I asked.
She looked back and smiled."Sleeping I hope, we have a full town here,"
"Oh," I said looking at the sky. My clothes were about half dry and didn't bother me much anymore. We walked in silence until Someone yelled from across the street;
"Y/N IS THAT YOU?" A males voice called. I turned around and my jaw dropped.
"OH MY GOSH! YOUR ALIVE!" I shouted as I let go of 10k's hand and ran to the man.
