              .:10k POV:.

I sat at the back of the truck trying to ignore the worried stares I got from my group mates.

"C'mon kid! Ya gotta eat!" Doc said trying to coax me into eating.

I pushed the small plate of canned corn away and looked at the horizon.

"She...she wasn't right," Warren said patting me on the back. "We had to leave her so she wouldn't leave us,"

I shrugged Warren hand off and jumped off the truck. Slinging my gun over my shoulder I turned to look at them.

"She never hurt us!" I yelled. "she wanted to protect us!"

"Shh!" Addy said calmly. "We know you loved each other...but she...she was dangerous,"

"She down right crazy! Even I didn't feel safe around her," Murphy put in looking over Addy's shoulder.

I looked at him, disgusted. "She was your daughter!" I yelled pointing a finger at him." How could you even say that!"

He looked away. I felt a little bad for him, he looked like he was trying hard to fight back tears.

"If I wasn't your best shot, I would leave," I said looking Warren in the eye."so...we're wasting daylight lets go."

I sat in the truck and looked out the window.

I'm sorry Y/N! I really am I wish I could go look for you! But the world needs me. I'll always love you though!

.:Y/N POV:.

It had been a month since I last saw them. Since they abandoned me. I trudged on through a think dense forest. A group of frightened people behind me. Each holding a gun in their hands.

"we should find shelter soon," I said adjusting my eyepatch."or if we can't find any shelter,we make some," I heard people sigh.

Thankfully we found shelter. An old abandoned farm house with three bedrooms and enough blankets for everyone.

"Thank you," a woman said after she had gotten her two twin boys set up in the room with the other kids. " we couldn't have gotten here without you,"

I dipped my head to her before turning to walk away.

"You will stay won't you?" The woman called. I turned towards her my one eye catching the moonlight.

"No, I must find my friends, you and your group are fine without me," I patted the woman's shoulder than disappeared out the door into the silence of the night.

I hopped along the branches of the trees. Low enough that if I fell I wouldn't snap my neck but high enough that one of the Zs wouldn't be able to grab me.

I had been traveling for days. Without any food or water. My stomach aches and my throat burned. I felt as though I couldn't go on any longer and I was ready to just give up. To just fall to the ground and not get up. But that's when I saw it. The headlights! People! And where there's people their is food!

I followed the truck that the headlights were on. Carefully slinking in the shadows so I wouldn't be seen.

When the truck stopped and I made sure everyone was gone I dived forward raiding the truck for supplies. I grabbed some canned corn and water bottles, stuffed them in my bag then backed up.

I felt the cold barrel of the gun against my head before I heard the click and then the blinding sound of a gun going off just above my ear.
