"Can't I just stay with Nana until you get back from Iraq", I said walking into the kitchen with my mom.
"Anniyah my mind is made up", she said sitting at the island putting her head in her hands, " besides get to know your dad side of the family."
"Oh, I know enough... I know he couldn't step up and take care of me, but can step up and get married and have more kids", I said semi-yelling.
"But your still his daughter and we talked this through already.. I'm sorry Niy, but your moving with your father... Remember what I told you", she said cracking alittle smile at me.
" Meadows by name, Jeggings by heart", I said gathering my books off the table.
"That's right, now go catch that bus.. Have a great day at school I love you."
"I love you too", I said heading out the door.
How rude of me I'm Anniyah Ty'Ann Meadows. I'm a soon to be senior. I'm 17 years old... I'm a military brat. The only child of my mother. I don't really get along with my dad he left when I was 2. But calls ever so often. I'm going to live with him and his family while my mom is in Iraq... Here comes the bus.
" Good morning Mrs.Hayes", I greeted my bus driver.
"Good morning Anniyah, it's the last day of school ready for your summer break", she said closing the bus doors.
"If you say so", I sighed and sat with my best friend Kashmir.

"NIY!! HEY BEST FRIEND.. HERE BEST FRIEND TAKE MY STICKER", she said placing a sticker on my shirt. I took it off and read it which said: PROPERTY OF KASHMIR ANDERSON.
"Kash, everybody knows I'm your best friend", I said laughing at the sticker.
"I know that.. just those other bitches gone try and play buddy buddy. And I'm just not having that."
"Believe me I'm not trying to have any best friends besides you. I trust no other female like i trust you", I said as my phone went off. I read the notification and glanced at Kash, who was shaking her head.
"What y'all got going on", she said with a laugh. "It's not even like that we just friends nothing more", I said reassuring her.
" Friends my ass", she said putting her phone away, signaling we were at school. We got off the school bus and placed our stuff in our first block class. And went to the Main Area where everyone was at. And Kash walked away with Nester and I felt two arms around me. I turned at a smiling Kahlil.

"Anniyah..Anniyah..Anniyah", he said smiling even harder showing off his dimples. "Kahlil what do you want?", I said shifting my weight to one leg.
"Honest answer is you", he said hugging on my hips. " Nah, last time you wanted me you wanted to be a hoe", I said crossing my arms.
"Serious this time, okay. I'm trying to change for you baby girl. I know you moving and everything but keep me in ya mind baby", he said smiling lifting my chin. I sarcastically rolled my as the bell rung. He kissed my forehead and walked to his class as I walked to mine.
" Y'all cute just to be friends", Kash said mocking me. "But don't fooled by his words... Fuckboy at work", she said taking her seat that was next to me.

"Okay, that's all of it", my mother said looking around at the empty house. I wanted to break down in tears, not in a million years would I think I would move.
We went outside and the Uhaul for my stuff was already packed. I saw everyone show up as we waited for my dad to pull up. As we waited I started saying my goodbyes to everyone. And the leaving me down to my mom and Kashmir.
" Mommy I'm gonna miss you.. It's gonna feel weird not waking up and not seeing your face. Write me every time you get a chance please. I love you", I said letting my tears fall as I hugged her.
"I love you too. And I'm gonna write you all the time Princess. Your a Meadows by name but a Jeggings by heart", she said wiping my tears. I nodded and worked my over to a broken Kash. She was crying her eyes out.
" Kash don't cry... I'm gone call you and text you EVERYDAY! Your my one and only best friend... Plus we gone turn up in college together", I said hugging her.
"I know. But now that your leaving I have no one to waste my life with... THIS WORST THEN A RELATIONSHIP", she said so serious, " Here take my stickers and wear them everyday when school starts back",I laughed and then a horn hunkd. To be no other then the infamous Gregory Meadows.
" Gregory", my mom said with a fake smile. "Trinity", he said returning the smile. It grew very silent. I stand there looking between the two.
"Hey Gregory", I said staring at my shoes. "Anniyah... Um.. Ready to go", he said sratching his head.
"Sure", I said grabbing my suitcase and getting into the truck. In there was a woman who looked be in her late twenties, a set of twins to be my age, and a little girl who looks to be three.
After my parents exchanged some words. My dad gets into the truck and we take off. I waved back at my family as they faded away. I let out a large sigh still looking out the window. I was thinking and it still didn't pop into my head where I moving to.
