~•-------------------•~After lectures, Dallon couldn't help but feel excited to see Kaitlyn again. The day before hadn't gone so well, but he was hopeful that the current day would be better. He'd been aching to ask her out, but he wasn't sure if Kaitlyn was the relationship type.
Just as he was about to leave, Dallon caught eyes with a girl. She had strawberry blonde hair, and he recognized her as Kaitlyn's roommate. He offered a quick grin and started to walk out, but stopped when the girl called out his name.
"When did you learn my name?" Dallon asked as he cautiously he did a complete about-face.
"Your girl's got it scribbled on her wall," she chuckled with a goofy smile.
A tiny laugh of disbelief left Dallon's mouth. "My girl? You mean Kaitlyn?" He chuckled a little more when the girl nodded. "She's not my girl. She's my friend."
"Whatever," the girl scoffs. "That's not what I'm trying to get with you about, though." Her whole demeanor changed, giving Dallon the slight chills. "Your girl's been hurting herself. All last night, I heard her crying in the bathroom. You can only guess what I saw when I walked in there this morning."
Dallon's stomach churned at the thought. He knew the day before was bad, but he didn't know it was that horrible on the inside. "Why didn't you try to talk with her?" he asked the girl, looking slightly disappointed.
"If you haven't noticed, Kaitlyn doesn't exactly talk."
"But you do," Dallon countered snappily. He sighed, and before the girl could clap back, "Never mind that. I'm gonna go find her. Have a nice day."
Dallon left before the girl could say anything more, and he went through the whole campus, searching for where Kaitlyn could be. He searched the on-campus coffe shop, the library, and almost every lecture hall for that girl, muttering obscenities as he did so. Unfortunately, Kaitlyn was no where to be found.
