Chapter 4 ~ Missing

Ever sence I found Sunrise in the woods we had found a lot more rougues like us. Two more mares and a two year old colt whom I let into our herd of five, tonight would be the night I would tell Esperanza she could finally escape her herd and take some of her buddies with her.

I raced the eagle as he flew overhead of me, I was on my way to see esperanza, the sun was setting and a beautiful eagle decided to chase me. I look up and whinny at him, he screeched back at me and with a mighty trust of his wings he pulled ahead of me and then it was on. 

I lengthened my stride and pulled ahead of the eagle, rushing across the plains and soon he bid me goodbye as he soared away as I galloped into the forest. I slowed as I pricked my ears, listening for the sound of the restless herd but I neard nothing. I made my way to the clearing where they usually were, and I stood there shocked, nobody was there. 

I suspected Phantom knew that Esperanza and a few in his herd were going to escape and took his herd away. That little rat.

I loped back to my herd, all still fast asleep and I stood on the ridge that overlooked the herd and I found myself stargazing again, wondering where my Esperanza was, and how I would find her. I only wished it would be soon

---Sorry it's a majorly short chapter but err the others should be better and now more action packed.

How will Strider find Esperanza again?
