Gabriella

I sat in my visual technology class eyeing the clock. Signing up for this class was a good idea at first, but the teacher is aggravating. I was on my phone scrolling through twitter before I heard my name being called. "Yes?" I answered with attitude laced in my voice.

I look up to see that it was Cecelia who called me. This hoe. We're in the same group for this class and I cannot stand her. There's times when I just want to wrap my hands around her neck and just squeeze. Was I gonna do that though? No, I need to graduate.

"Um, did you save your work on a flash drive? Because I lost it." I stared at this hoe in disbelief. I chuckled before hitting the lock button on top of my gold iPhone 6.

"You did what!" I didn't care how loud I was, I honestly didn't think she could be that stupid to lose my work. Playing with my grades is the easiest way to catch a fade.

"Girl calm down, just do it again." I cocked my head to the side, trying to figure out who she was talking to.

"I wouldn't have to do it again if you would actually focus on working instead of shoving your tongue down your boyfriend's mouth, bitch." Before she had a chance to answer, the bell finally rang. I grabbed my black Michael Kors backpack, and left the room.

I rolled my eyes and walked out into the now crowded hallways of Santiago High School. I noticed my girl Tori leaning on the wall from afar, with my god sister Karissa.

"Whats up with you?" Tori questioned as I huffed and pushed through the corridors.

"Cecelia is what's up with me. The bitch lost my work!"

"Want me to cut her?"

I couldn't help but laugh. Tori is crazy as hell. We've been friends ever since Tori moved from Harlem, New York to Corona 4 years ago. Tori is a firecracker, literally. She's not one to be played with.

"Tori stop, let that girl live please." Karissa jumped in. "No!" Both Tori and I yelled. Neither of us like Cecelia.  She's the equivalent to an STD. Nobody wants her.

"Maybe you should fight her then!" Karissa exclaimed. I shrugged actually thinking about it. Karissa was a freshman while Tori and I were seniors. We all surprisingly got along with the age difference dividing us.

As we were walking, Tori was playing around on Snapchat while Karissa was occupied with picking which song she would blast through her headphones. We finally reached the bus loop and looked at the bus numbers on the board. Karissa and Tori walked off. As usual the bus assigned to my address wasn't here. I silently cursed and leaned on the wall waiting.

I didn't enjoy the bus. It was small, cramped, and had no air conditioning. My precious BMW was in the shop, but getting it back seemed be at the bottom of my parents's to-do list. Tori always gave me a ride home everyday, but unfortunately she was busy today, so I had to take this L. One thing I did enjoy was the friends I  made on the bus.

Getting fed up with waiting, I walked out the gates of the school. I'll just walk. I walked down the street to McDonalds, suddenly remembering why I don't come in here after school

I rolled my eyes as I walked in, seeing everyone from school. They loved to cause trouble in this place. Childish as hell. We get kicked out of here all the time because of them. I went up to the cashier and ordered a strawberry milkshake with fries. Surprisingly, the ice cream machine was working today.

I paid and stepped to the side, waiting for my things to be handed to me. To occupy myself, I took out my phone and started scrolling through twitter. I was switching between my timeline and the group chat on iMessage between Tori, Valerie, and I.

I shook my head, laughing at the messages.  I was replying when I heard two familiar voices coming near me. First Theo walked in. Behind him was Funicelli. My eyes instantly lit up at the sight of him. When he stood next to me, I flashed him a smile.

He nodded my way. "Hey Gabby."

"Sup Fabian."

"Damn, no more Funicelli?"

"You will always be Funicelli. Don't trip."

Funicelli was a weird ass nickname one of his friends came up with for him. I don't even remember how they came up with it but it just stuck. He hates it but I don't care. I will forever call him that.

They walked over to the huge crowd of people rapping by the door. These damn kids had nothing better to do. I heard the door open, grabbing my attention.

This McDonalds was always so packed after school. The drive thru line was even worse, so i just came inside. As I walked inside, I took a good look around. These kids from school were reckless as hell. They're the reason why McDonald's workers always kick us out after we've been here for a certain amount of time.

As my girls walked over to the register, I noticed a few familiar faces. First I saw Theo, Fabian's best friend. I then spotted Fabian standing with Gabriella.

See, Funicelli is my boyfriend. We've been on and off for about a year. Right now, we're off. Sometimes, we just don't click. But I love him. As for Gabriella, me and her aren't cool. Its like we just don't rock. She hangs with her people, and I hang with mine. I've already had enough problems with her wild ass friend Tori. So we just stay away from each other.

I watched as Theo and Funicelli walked over to Gabby, engaging in a conversation. Now I wouldn't be me if I went over there and didn't say anything. I flipped my hair over my shoulder and walked over to them.

"Well, what do we have here?"

"If it isn't the wicked witch of the west."

"In the flesh, Theo. The biggest and baddest one you know."

I chuckled and turned my attention to Funicelli and Gabriella. They seemed to be getting a little too close for my liking. I didn't even know they knew each other like that. But I'm keeping my eye on them. I know she has a little thing for him, but she can't have him.

"Fabian."

"Emely."

"You done acting like a little boy?"

"You done being a bitch?"

"Never baby. Im always a bitch."

We were so alike, yet so different. We were one of those couples that someone wouldn't have thought would be together.

"What you want, Em?"

I looked between him and Gabriella before plastering a fake smile on my face. If it was something I did well, it was being petty. I just shrugged my shoulders and flipped my hair.

"Nothing. Y'all have a nice day. Call me later babe."
