The two wolves were chasing each other around like crazed pigs.
"Don't yell at them,Petra.It's fun to watch."Jesse scolded,sitting on her bed.
The new treehouse was bigger,and there was more room.Especially for playing.
Petra reached for the light brown wolf,probably to pick her up by the scruff.The wolf flattened herself against the wooden floor,huffing in displeasure.She didn't want to be picked up.
"You little..."Petra growled."Ugh,fine.You two are going to mess something up and it won't be my fault."
Olivia was working in another room,he little working space.Jesse had no idea what she was working on.
Jesse got up to go get her sword and do some training,but the two wolves rushed past her,one bumping her with his shoulder.On the leg.Hard.
She stumbled and fell.
Ugh.Why does everyone have to see me fall?
"This is what happens when you encourage wolves to play in the treehouse."Axel chuckled.
The light brown wolf padded over to Jesse with a worried whine.
"I'm okay."Jesse assured her."But Amber,you should tell Sammy to be more careful.He's going to knock something precious over."
The black wolf snorted,then shifted into a boy with black hair.
"I can still hear you as a wolf,Jesse.But,you know,sorry."Sammy apologized.
"It's fine."
The day may have been warm at that moment,but clouds rolled over the world bringing darkness.Dark clouds.Rain.It would be here soon.
The door to Olivia's workshop opened,and Olivia came out.She had her goggles on and was admiring something in her hand.
"I did it!"She yelled.
"Did what?It's just the Amulet."Axel walked over to see what all the fuss was about.
Jesse was confused for a moment.She had the Amulet in her pockets...didn't she?
Yet the thing in Olivia's hands was the Amulet.
"When and how did you get that?"Jesse asked.
"Sammy is good at getting things."Olivia answered.
Jesse raised an eyebrow at Sammy and he gave her a cheeky grin.
"Anyway,it glows now.When the members are near."
