Prologue: A young girl was running through the dark and dangerous streets of New York. Something was chasing her but she wasn't quite sure what as she didn't have the time to look closely. She ran into an alley hoping that it was to big for that thing. It was the size of a rhino. No such luck. It followed her in and she turned to start running again and ran into a wall. As it pounced on her she realized exactly how repulsive the creature was. It looked like a dog only it's fur was matted and it's head was weird shape and it's teeth we're huge and sharp. Just when it leaned in and she thought she was gonna die it exploded into dust. Standing in front of her was a very handsome young man who radiated power. She stared in awe at the man in front of her and just then noticed that he was holding a very pointy sword. As she looked closer she could see he had many scars. She was taken out of her day dreaming when he spoke in a deep voice that showed he knew both pain and happiness.
"Hi, I'm Percy Jackson."
