Chapter 17: The law

Rie's pov

I tried to hold myself up but my body was getting heavier. My head was spinning as my mind was fading to black. Finally when i was happy with my life. Flashbacks of the past started flowing through my body. My whole body feels like it was being washed in hot lava.

Rei:
"You okay Rie!?"

That was the last thing i heard. I woke up in a field filled with flowers. Infront me was a clock with its hand hitting 12.

Voice:
"Time is almost up Ao."

I look up and there was a man sitting on the throne. He was wearing a crown and holding a glass of wine.

Voice:
"I gave you a chance to interest me but seems your life is too good to be true. I will now reset the rules. Here i think you have to speak to the other Ao."

Ao:
"Ah Kikuchi Kun, or should i say Kaneko Rie."

I looked back as a girl whom i saw in front of the mirror the first day i turned into a girl.

Rie:
"Wh-who are you.."

Ao:
" i am you, in the past. Anyways to cut things short, i will be waking up from this coma, in my way of saying thanks i will fufil your wish of letting you remember you parents final words."

Rie:
"Is there no way for me to live?"

Ao:
"I am sorry that it was selfish of me.. but this was all the time i was offered as well. You completed the mission given to you and that was the only thing your life and mine was holding onto. The feeling that has been long gone inside of you in the past, the feeling of happiness."

I broke to my knees. Indeed recently i was in the clouds, living everyday expecting tommorow. As her hands reached out, memories of my past resurfaced. The park, the trees, the old so familiar scent of home.

Ao:
"You've been living nothing but a dream. Now its time to rest."

Rie:
"NO! This isnt fair! How could you do this to me! After making me live such a cruel fate and finally when i am just starting to enjoy this life.. just when.."

Ao:
"Every time a swing goes up, it will head down next. Now stop being selfish and.. *cough cough*"

Blood started flowing through her eyes and mouth. I ran towards her

Rie:
"What!? What happen?"

Voice:
"Your time is also up Kikuchi Ao."

As the voice said that my hand grabbed on to hers and the memories flow.

At the playground i was playing in the sand and someone fell in.(First memories of Moa)

At the swings someone was being bullied.(First memories of Yui.)

There was someone at the back of the tree. A shadow.

Then the scene swapped, someone was pulling me out of the car crying.

---:
"You cant die! HELP THERE IS SOMEONE STILL ALIVE."

My eyes opened slightly
Someone whom is always looking out for me. This view seemed all so familiar. I looked down to my parents whispering something before i blacked out.

I was in a coma, yet i still can feel a pressence around me.

When i woke up it has already been a month. I was told that my bills were all settled. As i walked out of the hospital i still seemed normal. So what made me.. so angry.. how could i forget i was greatful to the person who saved me.

Suddenly the scene changed once more i was on the rooftop. Before i was about to jump the time froze, i look at the back.. it was her she was running towards me..

Rie:
"You were there for me all this time.."

Tears started dripping as the scene continued. I tried to stop Ao but she just ran past my body and fell with me off the roof.

The scene returned to my parents last words.

Mum:
"Live strong we'll love you."

How could i have... how could i..
I looked up back to the clock and at Ao.

Rie:
"Why didnt you.. show yourself to me.. you were always watching."

Ao:
"I've always blamed myself.. i did not have the courage to tell you that i had loved you."

Voice:
"Your reunion is touching but time is up."

Rie:
"Wait! Is it posible.. to send Ao back?.. i would do anything really!"

Ao:
"What are you saying?"

I grabbed her face and gave her a kiss even though blood was everywhere.

Voice:
"Hmm since i will be bored after this, you know what fine. I will play along but you would suffer alot."

I nodded my head and kissed Ao again

Rie:
"Go, live a life that i had build for you. Know that i am now always by your side looking out for you. Thank you.. really.."

As i moved in for another kiss she disapeared and i fell to my knees.

Ao's pov(Rie)

I woke up in a white room, with no memories nothing. People around me are calling me Rie, i wonder why.. it felt as if i know them all yet i don't. Im forgetting something but its alright. I felt as if someone was watching over me ensuring i was safe.

Finally the room settled down and i was alone due to the doctor saying i needed more rest.

I looked down and my cell phone and saw all the beautiful pictures. I couldnt help myself but tear up. How could i forget how could i forgive myself. Yet i felt a warm embrace saying its okay. Take it one step at a time.

So here i am now after a few month coming out with our next single age age money.
