What inspired you to write Tsuki-Dayo?

I honestly have no idea. Sorry if you were expecting like a legit, good explanation because I have none.

I had just finished the first season of Haikyuu then, within 24 hours and I felt the urge to write something about Tsukishima. So my mind started racing and I decided that I want to write about a manager.

But I had to figure out how did the manager got to the team. And then all these back story where [Name] was sick and had to drop out of the girl's team came in. And I wanted to write about the frustration and devastation you feel when you love something so much but there's a strong possibility that you can never do it again, ever.

So, to conclude, this whole thing was an accident, and I just made up the plot along the way. It was supposed to be a book about Karasuno's 2nd manager but oh well, I'm glad I didn't write that and came up with this instead.

What was your favorite part/chapter to write?

I hate picking favorites ;n; I love a lot of things in this book.

One of my favorites would be the part [Name] fainted after her match against Aoba Jousei Girls. It was INTENSE. I was so excited about it I stayed up writing it in the dark with the covers over my head and a super creepy grin. I loved brining out Oikawa's rage and Tsukishima's guilt/worries at that part.

Another one of my favorites was the part where Tsukishima confessed that he liked volleyball under the firework. I wanted to come up with something unique. I didn't want them to hold hands, but I didn't them to not hold hands either. So I came up with the pinkie hook, which I hope is still pretty fresh. (probably not...)

What was the hardest/toughest part for you to write?

I think the part where I found most difficult to write were the volleyball matches. I had to constantly watch volleyball matches on YouTube, do research on the rules and what are the names for thing or techniques. And then I had to imagine an entire match of my own; building an actual volleyball game in my head. Not forgetting, I have to keep track the scores, who's in what position, who's injured, who does what.

Yeah, that was pretty tough for me, considering the fact that I don't play volleyball matches. I found it easier to write the awkward situations after Tsukishima and [Name]'s fights (or just any argument) than to write about an entire game.

But still I had loads of fun writing the matches and I apologize if there were mistakes and all. I tried.

What do you think about each of member of Karasuno Girls' Volleyball Club (excluding [Name])?

Yuki: The sweet and caring friend, who anyone would mistaken as your lesbian friend. She would kill anything and anyone who hurts her close friends.

Yuno: She's Yuki's partner in crime and likes to initiate many things. She always falls victim to Erika.

Erika: The perverted loli. That's all I've got to say.

Yui:Bright and cheerful captain who's always trying to motivate her team, even though she isn't motivated herself sometimes. She's totally crushing on Daichi.
