We first had an opening prayer and after that, the host said that each table will go to me and have 2 photoshoots then they could go directly to the buffet and get their food. The table will be called chronologically and since the first table was with Anne and her family, they were the first ones who came.
“Happy birthday lovely” A man with an age of 70 I guess, greeted
“Thank you” I smiled and nodded
They all positioned themselves behind the couch while Anne and Gemma were at my sides. Flashes of camera took places and we waved ‘hi’ to the video camera.
I suddenly felt Gemma leaned closer to me and whispered
“He’ll be here Em. Don’t worry, he’s not an idiot” Gemma patted my shoulder
I looked back at her and simply nodded. Gemma smiled at me full-heartedly while Anne wraps her arm around my shoulder and greeted me again.
They’ve gone down and got to the buffet table. The next table was with some relatives of Anne and they all greeted me with warm hugs and kisses on the cheeks.
“Do you know where Harry is sweetie?” And woman in her mid 40’s I think asked me
Why does everyone have to mention Harry’s name to me?
“I honestly don’t know ma’am” I answered
She patted my cheeks.
“That’s shame. He will never miss his friend’s birthday celebration” She smiled
Friends..
I faked a smile at the woman as she went behind like the others. The next table was with the boys, Eleanor, Danielle and Perrie. They all lined up while Louis, Zayn and Liam escorted them to my stage. Niall looks at me and shrugged his shoulders making me laugh.
“Hey birthday guurl” Perrie coos and kissed me at the cheeks
“Hey” I smiled and patted her back gently
Everybody gave me each a hug and starts to line up behind me-preparing ourselves for the photoshoot. The other photoshoot was a wacky one as they all pointed at me and I pretend to gasp.
The camera flashed suddenly but Niall whinned
“I wasn’t ready”
“You’re always not ready” Louis joked while El nudged at his shoulder
“We can take another one” I chuckled
Niall signaled the camera man to take one more shot and he obliged. This time our poses were El, Danielle and Perrie hugging me as Zayn, Louis, Niall did the same making Louis being hugged.
We all laughed together as they hug me for the last time and went on to the buffet table. El leaned closer to me and whispered-mentioning about Harry again I guess.
“He has a special surprise for you”
She pulls away gently from me and smiled. What does El mean that Harry has a surprise for me? He’s not even here at the venue.
“Harry’s not even here” I looked down carefully
“He’ll come Em. I know he will” El patted my shoulders and joined Louis after.

We all finished eating our dinner and it was now time for the special programs including the 18th candles and 18th roses. But before the whole 18 process, there were special song numbers from Harry and Gemma’s cousins.
