I had been walking to the donut shop thinking about what kind of donut(or donuts really) to get Michael. He can be so difficult sometimes, one day he's in absolute love with just a simple chocolate donut but the next it's "too simple and shouldn't even be a thing because it's all about the maple bacon these days and chocolate donuts are meant to be used when smoking pot because it's literally the best thing he ever tried after his dealer showed him how to do it." Like how was I supposed to know what kind of donuts are "in" and what kind of donuts he used to eat when he got high, it's really just a donut for christ's sake.

Speaking of the black haired demon child, I was getting a call from him, probably to fuckin tell me what kind of donuts to get him. Jesus Christ.

"What do you want Michael?"

"Wow that's not a nice way to speak to the Cliffoconda is it"

"Oh shut up with the Cliffoconda already"

"Okay okay I'm sorry, I was calling you to tell you that you actually don't need you to get me donuts because I'm going to meet up with my dealer"

"Wait. So you mean that I drove all the way down here for no reason?"

"Yep pretty much, my dealer texted me asking if I wanted to get high with her and a couple of her friends"

"Wow you're ditching me for your drug dealer, malum is over."

"Okay malum is never over but buddy that's just how life works" I could just see the stupid smirk that I knew would be on his smug face.

"Okay whatever Mike I'm going to go then."

"If you want you can come with me."

"Nah it's okay Mali wants me to get lunch with her anyways"

"Okay bye," he said hanging up on me. I turned around to go back to my car but I ran into something, or a person really, a very pretty person, that looked to be walking back into the donut shop with a small box of donuts, that I just so happened to knock out of her hands.
Smooth Calum, walk right into the pretty girl and make her drop her god damn donuts.

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention," I said hoping she wouldn't get mad or make a scene.

"Oh man," she said looking down disappointedly at the dozen of chocolate donuts on the ground and sighing. "Uhhh you think you could buy me some more donuts?"
why is she so calm? I'd be pissed.

"It's okay I'm sorry about that."

"Thanks it's okay I just need donuts," she said giggling.

"Oh okay, well let's go then." She didn't say anything after that as I helped her pick up the donuts that fell on the ground and throw them away, funny thing they were all chocolate and maple bars. I didn't think anything of it, maybe she just really liked chocolate and maple donuts, who knows. She was really cute though, she was short with blue hair and the prettiest brown eyes. I'm definitely going to make a move.

"So um I noticed you were walking back into the donut shop?"

"Oh yeah they forgot a donut," she said flashing a perfect smile.

"Oh okay, and I'm Calum by the way," I said smiling at her.

"I'm Arabella, nice to meet you Calum," she said laughing and sticking her out to shake mine, "Shall we go get some more donuts now?" She asked even though she held on to my hand and pulled me into the shop.

"Okayy so just get whatever you want and I'll pay"

"Okay thanks," she said turning to the counter ordering a dozen of chocolate and maple bars.

....

"Okay and that'll be $8.27," the cashier said looking at me, most likely assuming we were friends or something by how close we were standing and that I was going to pay, which was partly correct. Except that were not really friends although I'd like to be, maybe even more than friends one day because she is so cute and she was still holding my hand.

"Okay thanks man," I said after he gave me my change. I picked up the donut box and handed them to her, leading her out of the shop.

"Okay well thanks, I have to go now. Try not to bump into anyone else!" she said giggling. Man that cute freaking giggle.

"Um actually could I get your number?"

"Why?"

"So I can text you," I said scratching the ball of my neck, something I did when I got anxious.

"yeah sure," she said reaching out for my phone, which I gladly have to her.

"It's 666-964-669," she said as she typed it in.

"Thanks I'll text you"

"Well obviously Cal. But I really do have to go so hopefully I'll see you again, yeah?"

"Yeah definitely," I smiled at her, hoping she was interested in me too.
