I hovered above the water, watching the Ironman suit underneath the water's surface carefully. He had better get this job done right. I saw a flash of blue and Tony ascended toward me. He flew up from underneath the water and gave me the blank mask look. He set off and I followed him back to Stark Tower.
'We're good on this end, the rest is up to you' I heard Tony speak through his mask. Wireless network made it possible for him, me and Pepper to have a conversation.
'Have you disconnected the transmission lines, are we off the grid?' Pepper asked contently.
'We better be, otherwise I have no idea what I was doing standing there for ages' I snapped followed Tony with a face full of rushing New York air.
'Stark Tower is about to become a beacon of self-sustaining clean energy' I could almost see the smirk appear on my Father's face.
On the other end of the line Pepper gave a brief laugh.
'Assuming the arc-reactor takes over and it actually works' she added.
'Five bucks if it doesn't, Tony' I yelled to him. I heard him laugh.
'I assume' I answered. 'Light her up' As Tony and I headed towards the Tower each of the floors lit up with blue, white and yellow lights and it stood taller and more beautiful than any of the other buildings in all of New York City. Damn.
I reached into my linen skirt and pulled out a five dollar note. I smashed it into Ironman's hand.
'How does it look?' Pepper whispered, maybe a little too seductively.
'Like Christmas, but with more me' I rolled my eyes. That's the way it was. Tony, Tony, it's all about Tony. The way it was, will and was always going to be like.
'You gotta go wider on the public awareness campaign. I'm in DC tomorrow working on the next zonings for the next three buildings-'Pepper began taking a beeline straight into the future.
'Pepper you're killing me, remember enjoy the moment' Tony suggested.
'Well get in here and I will' Pepper purred. I pretended to vomit and looked like I was being straggled in mid-air by an invisible force if you were inside watching.
I glided through the glass of the top floor and waited till Tony got inside. Finally I had gotten out of the night wind of New York and as I landed with ease I heard the golden coins on my Egyptian cotton costume tinkle. Well when I say coins, I mean bullet proof, could be shot with a machine gun and not dent, golden coins.
'Levels are holding steady I think' Pepper bit her lip as she thought out loud. I took off my bulletproof headdress. My jet black hair flowed out from underneath the headdress and made a silky curtain down my back.
'Of course they are I was directly involved, which brings me to my next question, how does it feel to be a genius?' Tony asked Pepper. They stood close to each other and I saw a blush creep up Pepper's cheeks. I ordered the white gem on the hand gloves to turn me invisible. I saw my body disintegrate to nothing. I crept up to the two lovebirds.
'What do you mean, all this because of you.' Nice try Tony, I thought funnily. Pepper's not that thick.
'No' she smiled. 'All this, came from that' she poked the flashing blue arc reactor in his chest.
'Give yourself some credit, please. Stark Tower is your baby. Give yourself twelve percent of credit'
'Oh smooth Tony' I said standing infront of them, invisible. Tony looked my way and then gave a frown.
