Natasha had a ship ready and prep to go. I was fuming, the faster we got there the faster we could put a bullet in Loki's head. But Fury had told me straight no killing anything until we can locate the Tesseract. Damn.

I couldn't sit down in the jet as we sped off to Germany. I paced and clenched my fists till my nails had made marks in my palms. I suppose half the problem was my nerves. I wasn't much of a hero. I was just a smart girl who had an imagination. I stopped and knew that pacing up and down the jet was definitely not going to help the situation any better so I stopped and leant against the wall. I looked at the Captain and the song "Star Spangled Man" filled my head again. It was pretty funny how the original suit was just for show and the public's entertainment, now it represented a hero and a super soldier. I looked at his shield and I thought about its properties. The strongest metal in the world and that was the only amount of it left in the world.

'Miss Stark? Are you alright' I heard Rogers say quietly. I switched back and realised that I had been staring at his shield for far too long. I heard the coins on my costume jingle and I looked up at him. He frowned with concern. I got up and didn't reply.
'Nat you think you could speed up a bit?' I snapped over her shoulder as I stood at the head of the cockpit.
'Don't stress Naveen, we're here. I'm just waiting for orders from Fury' she informed. I rubbed the back of my neck with my sweaty palm now dotted with pressure marks. I went out to the hanger and pressed the button which made the back flip open. I could see a glowing white building. Lime-lights, limousines, palm trees. But the scattered crowd was what made me look further. They were running so frantically. Running like little mice trapped in a cardboard box. Screams and clatters. I saw him.

I swear I saw red as he shot a blue flame light at an approaching police car.
'Nat?' I pushed.
'Not yet' she said. I saw Rogers beside me and I noticed his jaw tighten. I grabbed my gun from my belt, this was gonna need simple pain and gain stuff.
'Kneel before me' I heard the icy voice of Loki. He was so menacing.
'I said... KNEEELL!' he screamed. The crowd now balled into a little scampering heap did as he was told and I saw it, a wave of people crouching down on the pavement. I could just imagine the looks on their faces, the worry and the desperation, the utter wonderment of a god before them and the complete fright of if their life's would be spared for them.

Loki put his arms out like he was welcoming family. I saw a blue flamed spectre in his hand. His golden and green Asguardian armour flashed bright and royal within the crowd. He absolutely loved this. I was about to jump down and punch him out right now. I felt the Captain grab my wrist. I shiver was sent up my cheeks where I had been blushing.
'No yet, Miss Stark'
'Do you expect me to stand here like a mute?' I hissed like we would be overheard by him.
'For the moment yes' he said nonchalantly.

I proceeded to look back down and waited for Loki to address his cowering crowd.
'Is not this simpler? Is this not your natural state? It's the unspoken truth of humanity' I had a lot of explicit, unspoken truths right now.
'That you crave subdigation. The bright leer of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for power' he said cunningly. He multiplied and surrounded the crowd. 'for identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end you will always kneel' I saw a smile creep alone his thin pale face. I sneered and I almost put a plague on him. Hmm.

From the crowd an old man stood up from his crouched position. He looked Loki in the eye and I could tell that the God of Mischief was not pleased. Not in the slightest.
'Not to men like you' he muttered at Loki.
'There are no men like me' Loki smirked. The man just stalled for a moment.
'There are always men like you' the old man blurted out bravely.
'Ok go guys, good luck' I heard Nat. I jumped into mid-air and was relieved to finally fly again.
'Look to your elder people' Loki said to the crowd pointed his sceptre in his direction. It glowed brighter blue. 'Let him be an example' Loki blasted a blue flame in his way.

Rogers jumped infront of the man and the shot was directed away and straight into Loki and he felt from where he stood. I hovered above the crowd and people looked around and pointed. Some stood up and others looked like they were about to cry.
'You know the last time I was in Germany, and saw a man standing above everyone else, we ended up disagreeing' Rogers announced. Nice one! Did these heroes have like some sort of script or did they have a source of good comebacks and punch lines. Cause hell I needed that website. Loki just laughed and stood up.
'The soldier, a man out of time' he sneered.
'He's not the one who's outta time' I said from behind him. Loki looked up and his eyes pierced into mine. And I swear I could almost see his soul black, deep and impenetrable. But I saw ridicule, like sharp glacier ice.

I heard Nat's jet pull up behind us and the gun loaded with a few dozen cracks.
'Loki, drop the weapon and stand down!' I heard her order over the loud speaker. Loki just licked his lips and shot another flame at the jet. Nat easily dodged it. The Captain threw his shield and it hit Loki square in the chest. The crowd dissolved and I got them away from the fight. I saw Rogers go flying away from Loki. I shot some bandages in his direction and as they hit his armour it turned to metal forcing him to stumble a little. Loki shot a flame in my direction. I grabbed it in my hand and turned it around like it was a ball, I squished it in my hand and it disintegrated. And by then Rogers had already thrown his shield to hit Loki. But the Asguardian just thrust it aside.

He put Rogers to hit kneels.
'Kneel' Loki sneered. Rogers chucked the sceptre away
'Not today' Rogers twisted and smashed Loki straight in the face. I got the last of the crowd away and I heard faint music.
'Agent Romanoff, you miss me' I heard the arrogant tone that was Tony Stark. PDA had overridden the system and was blasting out Shoot to Thrill. I looked to the sky and the red and gold Ironman suit came rushing in and knocked Loki to the ground easily. He smashed down on the pavement and everything was loaded and ready to blow up anything. From plasma blasters to the minute missiles to his arc reactor beams.

Rogers retrieved his shield. Nat rolled up in the jet.
'Make your move Reindeer Games' Tony said through a muffled tone. Loki's jaw tightened and he was coated in a shimmer of gold before he turned back. He put his hands up. I landed by Tony and crossed my arms.
'Mr Stark' Rogers said.
'Captain' Tony replied. I rolled my eyes.
'Show off' I mumbled.
