Chapter 2 - Deep Pain

I'm out on the edge and I'm screaming my name
Like a fool at the top of my lungs
Sometimes when I close my eyes I pretend I'm alright
But it's never enough

You both stepped inside his apartment and you looked around in awe. He seemed like a cool person and you were right. He had a butt load of boom boxes and rapping equipment. He must like rapping. Dave. Rapping. Seems legit. You looked around to see a kitchen on the left, the living room with a large television set to the right and a hallway before you.

Inside the hallways were three rooms. One to your left and two to your right. Inside two of the rooms, were both bathrooms. One appeared to be Dave's room and the other was a guest room. The third room you weren't too sure about. It was closed off and locked with a sign saying Dirk's room to it.

Dave called to you and you walked into the kitchen.

"youre probably hungry. what kinda food you like? all we got in the fridge to drink is some aj but i dont think thats too bad."

"I'm not....hungry." You said sheepishly. You regretted saying it because afterwards, Dave gave you a sharp glare.

"not hungry? please Y/N. you havent eaten for weeks on end. if you stop eating your gonna die." How did he know you haven't been eating? Why does he care so much? Was it true that it was that long since you haven't ate? Millions of questions zoomed through your head as you stood in front of him.

"How did you know that?"

"Y/N....ive been watching you...i.....i know what its like to grieve. you can't just give up life because everything sucks.."

"You've been watching me???"

"i need you in my life Y/N. please" You stared at him. Through his dark sunglasses, you could see his bright red eyes, full of pain and misery. Was that how you looked?....poor Dave...

"I....I'll stay..." Suddenly, he hugged you.

"thank you..."

"Your.....welcome." you uttered.
