Chapter 8

Taehyung's POV

I got up a little bit earlier to plan out our trip for today. I wanted to make the best out of it since I'll be busy working when we get back. I decided we'll go to the hot springs and then take a walk around town. Then we'll walk along the beach to watch the sunset again.

I watched Hyejin stir as she opened her eyes. She was beautiful when she slept. The way her mouth lightly parted and soft snores came out. The way her eyebrows creased as if she was having a bad dream. When we would argue, I would stay awake during night time to think about what I've done wrong and how to improve and I would watch her sleep.     (A/N That sounds a little creepy, but continuing on...!)

"Good morning." I smiled, crawling into bed beside her.

"You're already up!" she said, rubbing her eyes.

I nodded and kissed her forehead. What did I do to deserve such a cute and loving wife? I have to admit, at times she was selfish but I always looked at how she always looked out for the family and wanted the best for our daughter.

"I planned out what we are going to do today!" I said, showing her the list I made on my phone.

"Well we better get going then!" she said, getting out of bed.

We brushed our teeth and took our showers. We were ready in half an hour. I told her to bring her swimming suit, but I didn't tell what we were doing. We drove to the hot springs (I don't know if there are hot springs on the island. I just made it up). When we got there she started bouncing around like a little kid.

"Oppa oppa! Let's go!" I heard a little voice call.

I turned around and saw a very young couple. Around high school ages. It reminded me of how Hyejin and I used to be when we were younger. I smiled and was joined by a very excited Hyejin. I linked arms with her and headed into the cave. We bought our admission and went to get changed.

After changing, I met Hyejin in front of the changing rooms. She came out with her swimming suit under her t-shirt and shorts.

"Tae, let's go." she said, wrapping her arms around her petite body.

I wonder what was wrong.

Hyejin's POV

When I went to change, I realized that I had stretch marks on my tummy. I guess I never had the time to realize that they were there. I looked in the mirror and they looked horrifying. I slipped my t-shirt over it and decided to wear my shorts over my bottom as well. I hope Tae won't ask anything about it. I walked out of the change room and saw Tae waiting for me already. I kept my head down and walked to him.

"Tae, let's go." I said, wrapping my arms around my tummy. After seeing it and walking out into the public, I feel like everyone can see it. I needed to get into the water right now.

He didn't say anything so I walked forward and chose a random pool and got into the hot water. It felt really good. I sighed and sat against the edge of the pool. Tae sat beside me and looked at me.

"Gwenchana?" he asked.

I nodded and closed my eyes, letting the hot water warm my body.

I felt him move beside me so I opened my eyes and looked over. His whole body was submerged into the water, only his head stuck out. I smiled and closed my eyes again.

"Why are you wearing your shirt and shorts?" Taehung mumbled.

"It's cold just wearing my bikini." I lied.

"It's forty degrees out, that doesn't make sense." he replied.

I didn't want to tell him the truth because I didn't want him worrying about me. I quickly thought of another lie.

"It's a little too big." I mumbled.

He giggled and nodded. Thankfully he fell for it. We stayed in the hot spring for a few more minutes and headed back into town, finding a fast food place. After eating burgers and fries, we went to the beach. We spent the rest of the day there, enjoying the sunshine. We played around in the water and built sand castles like little kids.

"Hyejin! Look at this!" Taehyung called, waving me over.

I stood up and ran over. He pointed at something in the water and I leaned over to look at it but I didn't see anything. All of a sudden he pushed me into the water and I fell inside the water face first. I choked on the water and quickly got back up. I coughed up salty water and glared at Tae.

"That was not a wise choice." I said.

He smiled and laughed. As he closed his eyes and leaned over, slapping his knees I kicked his shins. He lost his balance and almost fell over but regained his balance quickly. I gasped and started running, knowing he was going to get me back.

"Hyejin!!" he yelled, chasing after me.

He grabbed my waist and pulled me back, my legs flailing in the air. I screamed and he started to spin me around. We laughed and he ended up dropping me into the water.

"Yah! Kim Taehyung!" I shouted.

He smiled and I chased after him this time. He ran up the beach and I followed. I grabbed his hand and pulled him back, stopping him. He turned around and hugged me, wrapping his arms around my body.

"I love you Hyejin. A lot." he whispered in my ear.

"Me too, I love you." I replied.

"Let's be a happy couple and stay together for forever okay?" he said.

I nodded and he let go of me. He grabbed my hand and we walked down to the water again. For now, it felt like it was only him and me in this world. And we loved each other.
