Chapter 13

As Taehyung went to pay for our meal, someone tapped me on the shoulder from the booth behind. I turned around and saw a familiar face.

"Mark?" I said in English.

"Hey!" he smiled.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were back in LA!" I said.

"I was but then I decided to move here to give it a feel if I like it here or not. What are you doing here? A few months ago you were studying really hard." he said.

"I moved back her-"

"Hyejin?" Taehyung's voice interrupted.

Taehyung walked towards us and looked at Mark curiously.

"Tae, this is Mark Tuan. Mark, this is Kim Taehyung. I met him when I was in America studying." I said in Korean.

"Annyeonghaseyo." Mark smiled, bowing politely.

Taehyung returned the greeting and bowed as well. He sat beside me and tried to listen in to our conversation.

"Wait, you can speak Korean?" I asked.

"Yeah I can! Is that your boyfriend?" he asked.

"I'm her husband." Tae said in English.

I smiled at him and ruffled his hair. He was making a big effort to be included in our conversation, I could tell.

Taeguk started whimpering so I picked her up and patted her back lightly, bouncing her up and down.

"That's your daughter?" he said, his mouth wide open.

"Yeah. Taeguk, meet Mark oppa." I smiled, turning her around. I handed her to Mark and Mark started to pinch her cheeks.

"Wah... She's so cute. She looks like you two." he smiled, playing with her.

"I meet you in America and you were like the nerdiest girl and then you move to Korea. And then BAM! you have a husband! and then BAM! you have a kid. Wow..." he said. (You're welcome iGot7's... If you know what I mean)

I laughed and shook my head. I looked at Taehyung and he smiled. I rested my head on his shoulder as Mark continued playing with Taeguk. Taehyung cleared his throat as he stood up. I gave him a confused look and he gestured for me to take Taeguk back.

"Um, sorry. I have to go back home and feed Taeguk. It was nice to see you again!" I said, taking Taeguk from Mark's arms.

He frowned and willingly let me take her out of his arms. He cutely waved at her and she started smiling. I smiled and put on her jacket.

"We'll see you around!" I smiled.

"Yeah! See you!" Mark smiled, waving.

I turned around and looked for Tae when I realized that he was already in the car. I ran out of the diner and quickly strapped Taeguk in. When I got into the car, there was a tense atmosphere. I looked at Taehyung and I could tell there was a hint of jealousy in his eyes.

"Tae-" I started.

"Were you guys in a relationship?" he asked.

"N-no, Tae, why would you ask that?" I replied.

"It seemed as if you two were really close." he grumbled.

"We met at the college and we became friends. Nothing more." I said.

"Nothing more?" he said.

"Nothing more." I replied.

He nodded and pulled up on our driveway. He parked the car in the garage and turned off the car. I unbuckled my seatbelt and opened the door but he grabbed my other hand, stopping me. I closed the door and looked at him.
