Chapter 5: Jessica

Jessica's P.O.V:

I hear something.

Scratch that...

I hear someone.

I stop.

I whip my head to the other side of the road and squint my eyes.

I see a boy and behind him were three other men, whom I assume were chasing after him.

"Help!" he screams as he climbs up a tree and searches for something.. or someone.

"Ello!" he waves his hand, I get a closer look. "YES! YOU!" he points at someone in my direction.

I turn around.

He face palms and groans.
"No, no, no!" he says quickly, I look at him, "YOU!" he says, pointing at me.

"Me?" I look at him, puzzled.

"Yes YOU!" he says.

I stare at him.

"Help me!" he shouts.

I search for something.

A ROCK

I pick it up.

I throw it at the lanky man that is trying to get a hold of the boy's foot.

It hits his head.

"Shit" I curse under my breath.

He whips his head, and glares at me.

He's walking towards me.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit"

"WHOA!", the boy falls face first on the pavement, the two other men pull him as he trembles, "Run lady!"

I run.

I don't know where I'm going.

"URGH!" I bump into someone and start to lose my balance, they immediately put both of their hands on each side of my shoulders, steadying me.

I scream.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF ME, STRANGER!"

They chuckle. "Well, well, well" she says, as I run my fingers through my hair. I know that voice.

"Hunter!" I shout.

She covers her ears. "I need them, you know" she says, referring to her ears. She tilts her head and furrows her eybrows. "Who's he?" she points at someone from behind me and tries to stifle a laugh. My eyes widen in shock.

I turn my head slowly.

I scream.

I run.
