I've been trying to figure out what to do with this scene since I had said Hoggle was sick, and this was the result. And welcome to the longest chapter I have ever written. A lot of things happen, and please keep an open mind.

Sarah's POV:

I didn't know it was even possible that my enemy and Jareth's would happen to start working together. Crazy. I don't even know how Grant found him, and vice versa. Jareth pulled out of the hug we were still in (Having jumped through like that) and I fell a little. He was still supposed to hold me.

Sure, why not. He gripped my shoulders and waited. That lasted a while.

"Sarah. Honey? We should go see Hoggle." I must have jumped thirty feet in the air and I could feel my eyes widen.

"I think your eyes just exploded Sarah, calm down a little. Here, I'll take us to the hospital." Hospital?
"Hospital?"
"Uh yeah he may or may not have cancer to." He looked around at nothing in particular and then "Come on let's go."

We were transported to what looked like another oubliette, only it was way to bright for being underground. Jareth walked me past about a dozen hallways before we stopped at a room.

"Here we go Sarah." I stopped. What the actual fuck. He was hooked up to way to many machines, medicine tubes, and morphine drips. And he was tied down at the wrists, for some reason.

Jareth's POV:
It's his brain. He only has a few weeks left.
She made a little, hurt noise, much like a gasp, and pulled both of her hands to her mouth. She walked towards Hoggle for a few steps, and then saw something on his chest. She ran out of the room. I, for one, hadn't been down here since about 5 months ago. I couldn't really get out of bed much. I figured the only thing that could faze her would be the blueness of his veins, so I stepped closer. Nope. That wasn't it. Right around where his heart was, was a giant, black lighting bolt. Shit shit shit. How had my father gotten down here? I ran outside to get Sarah, but she wasn't there.
"Sarah? Sarah? Sarah come here please!" I think I was crying, but I didn't know why. Stupid, confusing emotions. I ran around a few more hallways until I remembered something. I could make crystals. Duh.
"Show me Sarah." A puff of glitter later and I had a crystal showing me a closet I had just passed.
"Sarah. Sarah, come out or I'm coming in." Dear lord I sounded like my mother. I walked in. She was sitting on a bucket, and leaning on a mop with tears streaming down her face.
"Sarah, I wish there was something I could do about it, but he's to far gone to save him now."
"Then why didn't you tell me?"
"I thought you coming back would help but a goblin told me it was almost over. You can go in and say hi but he shouldn't do much else."
"No no it's fine, I'll just figure out what to do about the-"
"What?"
"What we do about the thing?"
"Well we have a library so let's go up there."

The climb back through the oubliette was long and silent. Sarah seemed like she didn't want to say anything, and quite frankly I didn't blame her. We finally reached the top of a tower.
"This it." We spent about 3 hours searching for anything on possession before I found something.
"Sarah-I found"
"I'm here."
"It says here that an enchanment or possession placed on a magical creature is only..."
"...solvable by death. Great. My best friend is going to have to die or stay evil forever." She sighed.
"I'll try to make this easier I promise."
She crawled into my lap and started hugging me. I kissed her softly on each ear and then on the bridge of her nose. She snuggled up to me closer and fell asleep.
"Shh. Go to sleep Sarah." You've had a rough day it's fine.
I soon followed her example and drifted of later.

I woke up with Sarah putting away all of the books we had taken out. I smiled.
Come here. I was to tired to actually talk so I just reached out my arms and she climes back.
"Good morning."
"Good afternoon. You've been asleep for hours."
"Hours?"
"Yep."
"Great. So what do we do about Derrick?" Crap I said his name. "No no no, I can't say his name. He's gonna be here in a few minutes we have to go." I pulled her towards the door, but he was already there.
"That's fine you can just stay here." Wonderful.
"Dad just go home please. Or you know I have somewhere else you could go. Go fuck yourself." I pat myself on the back for that. Wait a minute.
"Sarah come here." She ran into me and I transported us to Hoggle's room.
Sarah poked her head and looked around "Why are we back here!"
"It's the first place I could think of. Sorry."
"Look lets just go to my house or something. We can transport there."
"Wonderful."
"No need to." He was back.
"Oh great you're back."
"Look can't you go fuck yourself and leave."
"Hilarious. Now why don't you step out from in front of your fiancé and let me take little crack at the only thing that could make you happy."
"Like I would do that."
"Oh you will." He shot some glittery thing out of his hand towards Hoggle, and Hoggle comes over and carries me to his bed and sits on me.
"Sarah he-"
"Shut up." He snapped at me. I stuck my tongue out like when I was five. I knew he hated it.
She was nervous "Hoggle help me!"
"Oh Hoggle is your friend is he? Well then why can't he die sooner."
He can what?
"Hoggle, get off of Jareth. And you can get out of your trance while you're at it." Hoggle jumped off my lap and went through this whole full-body shaking thing. He blinked and looked around.
He managed a rasp "Hello Sarah, hello Jareth."
Crap Bag slammed his foot on the ground so we all looked at him and he shot a glitter bomb at Sarah. I screamed at the hopes of distracting him, but Hoggle's tactic proved more affective. Hoggle lept in front of Sarah. He slammed to the ground from the impact while my shitty excuse of a father left the room. I found the power to get up and went over to Sarah who was already crouching over Hoggle. She was shaking and sobbing.
"He isn't moving and I can't hear his heart beat." She breathed.
"I know. But even if my father hadn't shot him, the effort of jumping still would have done it. We should just leave and wait for a goblin to come and fix everything." I massaged her shoulders and she grabbed one of my hands with a strength even I don't think I had. Then she let go.
"No. I have to wait till he wakes up!" She was screaming and trying to wake him up. There were lines of mascara streaming down her face. I pulled her off of him and out of the room.
"Sarah we have to go. If I leave you here I don't know if you'll ever come up. " She sniffled one more time and nodded. I led her out of the oubliette and we took a walk back to the castle. This was to serious to transport and I was drained of any energy. We happened to walk by the Fireys, but I waved them off. No random heads lying around today, I didn't feel like cleaning them up. They only listened to me, even my mother couldn't control them. When we got back to the tower Sarah let go of my hand and started to walk towards her room.
I jumped in front of her "Nope. I'm coming to your room tonight. You shouldn't be alone, it's not good for you." She just walked into her room. I followed. She threw her dress into her closet and climbed into bed. I took of my shoes and jacket and went in next to her. I rolled her into my chest and she burrowed in.
I'm sorry. I didn't know what else to say.

DON'T KILL ME PLEASE! I don't whether I should apologize for this being so long or for killing Hoggle, so I'm here doing both. And tess10123, here's how I did it.
