Sarah's POV:
After I had driven around a while, I had Jareth take off his glamour for good. We had to explain things to my dad.
"Jareth. I know you don't want to, but we have to tell him." Sometimes he could be such a kid. He frowned at me.
"Do we have to?" He mock pouted at me. I was at an intersection with a red light, so I leaned over and kissed him on the forehead.
"15 more minutes. And that should add to the hour I've already given you. My dad will just think I'm brooding over Grant."

"So how should we start?"

"I'm working on that part. Grant didn't take it so well, but it's my father so he should be fine."

"Yeah. He'll be fine."

I drove in silence. Well, not completely. Gareth and I were talking to each other in our heads on ideas we had, but that stopped when I almost hit a bus. Oops.

Arriving at my house was nerve racking. Getting into the car with one person, and coming out with a different person an hour later? My dad would be confused. Starting with the fact that he is 1,000 years older than me. Gareth grabbed my hand when he opened my door. We both breathed. He had never had to tell this secret to someone, but the last time I told someone, it didn't go all that well.

I rang the doorbell. My dad opened the door, and it took him about 3 seconds to notice Jareth.

"Sarah. Why is-?"

"I'll explain inside. Go sit down."

It seemed like my dad wouldn't stop staring at Jareth. It looked like he had just seen a ghost.

Jareth and I sat on the couch. He grunted. I realized I had been squeezing his hand so hard, parts of it were red. I let go and laughed a bit.

"So dad, this is Jareth."

"Well yea I know that. But what is he doing here?"

"Jareth. Do you know my dad?"

"There's a possibility of that. I have met many people in my life."

"I'm not kidding."

"Yes. My mother wanted Gareth and I to 'modernize' so she sent us to college. Your dad was my roommate." I just looked between my dad and Jareth. I felt like a fish. I couldn't blink.

"But Jareth, why do you look like you did when we were in college?"

"Because I'm a fae, and I'm really 1,000 years old." My dad looked to me and I nodded. It was his turn to look like a fish.

"Jareth is immortal!" He laughed and ran his fingers through his hair.

"Sarah, how do you know Jareth?"

"Well I when I was 15 I really loved this book called Labyrinth. . ." I went through the whole thing. My dad didn't ask questions and only moved his head when something strange happened. The weirdest part for him was probably Toby being stolen. I agreed.

I finished after what seemed like an eternity. "And now were engaged."

His mouth dropped. "But you're married to-never mind."

"And I promise I an happy this is happening. We both are." I smiled at Jareth he was doing the same. He rubbed my ring and kissed my forehead. I almost kissed him
back when I realized that my dad was there. I laughed nervously.

"Well that's good. So when's the wedding?" I stared at Jareth for an answer, but he got there before me.

"We don't know yet."

My dad went off on a whole speech on what we had to do. For all those years Jareth had on me, it looked like he knew less than me.

"DAD! Calm down. We can plan later." I stood up and hugged him. Jareth joined us. One big, awkward group hug of people who loved each other. It was nice.
