"Let's get this straight, you're not actually dating anyone???" The text showed up on Dan's bright screen in the midst of the dark night. Dan sighed and watched the phone as more texts from his close friend Phil showed up. "How come you lied and told me you were in a relationship with Cat?" Dan cringed at the thought of actually dating Cat. His fingers lingered over the keyboard placed at the bottom of his screen as he looked over every letter carefully searching for the right words to fix this problem. "I don't know I thought I the might have just...made you jealous a bit" Dan read the sentence over and over before finally gathering the courage to press send. As Dan stared at the phone waiting for a response he began to feel water forming in his eyes. It was about a minute later that a text from Phil was sent. "I was jealous." Dan shook and read the text again. He had reached his first goal, making the soon to be date mate, jealous.
Dan began to smile as he realized he did what he wanted. He did something right for once in his life. Just as he was about to type in something else, he turned off the phone and stared at the wall for a good 5 minutes before smiling from ear to ear. He got a boy jealous. Better yet, he had gotten Phil jealous.
