Daren's POV
Today is the last day of school before spring break and I have a huge surprise for Kiera. Since we've been dating for 3 months, I want to take her away for a few days so she can meet my parents and my siblings. I already called my mom this morning and explained to her that I found my mate and she was ecstatic for me. She said she can't wait to meet her and that it would be ok if we came to see them this week. Now I know my parents kicked me out of the house and everything but, no matter how mad I got at them I still love them and vise versa. I can't wait to take Kiera to meet everyone. Now all I have to do is ask Kiera's mother and make sure she agrees. That is going to be slightly harder.
"Hey babe." I say, when I pick up Kiera at her house. "Hey." she says with a big smile. I wrap my arms around her waist and she wraps her arms around my neck and I kiss her. It's a soft and passionate kiss. When we pull away we both have smiles on our faces. "Ready to go?" I ask. "Yep." she says with a dramatic sigh. I grab her hand and we walk over to my motorcycle. I get on first and then she gets on. I hand her a helmet and she puts it on and I put mine on and we head off to school.
***** At Lunch *****
When we get to lunch we get in line and get our food and then go our usual table with her friends. "So, what are we gonna do over break?" Kiera asks. "Well, I wanted to talk to you about that." I say. She turns and looks at me letting me know to continue. "I want to take you to take you on a trip so we can spend some time together but I also have something planned for us." "Where are we going?" she asks excitedly. "Iceland." "Oh cool! But what do you have planned for us?" I smirk at her, "It's a surprise." "Aww come on please tell me." she says, pouting. I shake my head and she crosses her arms. "Babe, if I told you it wouldn't be a surprise." "I know but I really want to know." "I'm not telling you." "Ugh! Fine." I chuckle and pull her towards me and kiss her temple. "But we have to ask my mom if it's cool." "Yeah I know. What do you think the chances of her saying yes, are?" "I don't really know. I mean, going to Iceland with you for a couple of days is a lot different than me sleeping over at your house for a couple days." "I know." "We'll just have to convince her that nothing bad is going to happen and that you'll be there to protect me and make sure nothing happens to me." I put my finger under her chin and lift it up so she's looking at me. "I would never let anything happen to you." I say in complete honesty. "I know you wouldn't." I lean down and kiss her. She kisses me back and I nibble on her bottom lip and she opens for me. When we pull away, we're both panting and I lean my forehead against hers. "I love you." I say. She smiles and looks at my eyes. "I love you too." she says happily. I peck her lips one more time and we go back to eating. "We'll talk to her today when you drop me off." she says. "Ok, sounds good." We finish lunch and I walk Kieira to her next class and then walk to my own.
***** At Kiera's House *****
When we get to Kiera's house, we walk into the kitchen where her mom is, picking out what she's going to cook for dinner. "Hey mom." Kiera says. Candice turns around and smiles at us. "Hi Honey. Hey Daren." "Hey Candice." I say. She smiles and nods to me. "So mom, um, we wanted to talk to you about something." "Ok. What is it?" "Well, I wanted to take Kiera on a little trip over spring break. Not for the whole spring break, but just a few days." I say. "Where are you wanting to take her?" Candice asks. "Iceland." Kiera says before I can. "Um...." Candice says. "Kiera, can I talk to your mother for a few minutes alone?" "Uh, yeah sure." "Thanks." I peck her lips quickly and she walks into the living room. I turn back around to Candice and start to speak again. "I know that you don't think this is a good idea but, trust me, I would never put your daughter in a dangerous position. I love her so much, I don't want anything to happen to her. The reason I want to take her on this trip is because I want her to meet my family. We've been dating for three months and I think that it's time she meet them and vise versa. You can say no if you like but, please just think about it." It's silent or a few moments until she speaks. "Does Kiera know that this is the reason your taking her to Iceland?" she asks. "No I told her it was a surprise. I mean, I want to spend time with her too of course but, her meeting my parents is the main reason for the trip." "When were you planning on leaving?" "Sunday. My family has a private plane that they are letting me use." It's silent for a few more moments and all I'm thinking is please, please, please let her say yes. "Ok. I'll let her go. But Daren, I swear to god, if you let anything happen to her, I will have Kiera's father come up here. And trust me, you don't wanna know what will happen if he has to come here." I gulp and nod my head. "Understood." I say. "Good." she says smiling. "Kiera, you can come back in here now!" Candice yells. She comes running back into the kitchen with us with an expectant smile on her face. "Well?" she asks. "You can go." Candise says. Kiera starts jumping in the air and she runs over and hugs her mom. "Thank you so much mom!" "You're welcome sweetie." She runs back over to me and hugs me as well. "Would you like to stay for dinner Daren?" Candice asks. I look down at Kiera and she's looking up at me smiling. I smile at her too and lean down, my forehead touching hers. "I would love to." I say while looking into Kiera's eyes. "You two are so adorable." We hear Candice say but all I can focus on is my beautiful mate.
