Drunken Mistakes and Surprise Visits

Daren's POV

Why!? Why in the hell would she do that? Why did she kiss him? What did I do to make her cheat on me? Was it because of this morning? Because I laughed at her? But I apologized for that. We were fine before school started. Just, what the hell happened that made her do that?

I drive my bike to my house and park it in the garage. I get off it and go into the house, slamming the door behind me. I walk into the living room and sit down on the couch with my arm over my face. My phone rings and I pull it out of my pocket. Mate <3, pops up on the screen with a picture of Kiera smiling under it. I click decline and place my phone on the coffee table. I stand up from the couch and walk into the kitchen. I open one of the cabinets under the sink and grab a bottle of tequila that I had hidden away in there. I open the bottle and take a huge gulp from the bottle. I walk back into the living room and sit on the couch and turn the tv on. I turn it to Ridiculousness and take another swig of the tequila.

An hour and 1 bottle of tequila later, I'm super wasted. I pick up my phone and text Kiera. "We're over." I press send and right after that, I pass out.

Kiera's POV

I try whipping my eyes but the tears just keep pouring out. I decide to just go ahead and start walking home, plus I have to watch Jade and she's already home by herself. I start walking and I don't even get 10 feet from the school before I hear someone calling my name. I turn around and see Drake running after me. I turn back around and start walking again. I really don't want to see him right now. This is his fault anyway, he fucking kissed me! 'Kiera hold up!" I ignore him and continue walking. I hear his footsteps and he's getting closer. He grabs my arm and pulls me back. "What Drake?" "Look I'm sorry, but I didn't know you had a boyfriend." "Well I do, now you know." I jerk my arm out of his hand and start walking again. "Kiera, are you seriously going to walk home?" "I've done it before I can do it again." "Let me give you a ride." he shouts. I ignore him d put my head phones in and keep walking, the tears still spilling from my eyes.

When I get home, I stand outside the door and take my head phones out and put my IPod in my back pack. I wipe my eyes and take a deep breath. I can't let Jade see me like this because she'll wanna know what's wrong and she'll tell mom too. Once I'm calmed down and I think my face looks normal, I open the door and walk inside. I close the door and walk into the living room and see Jade sitting on the floor watching tv. "Hey Jade." She turns around and looks at me and smiles. "Hey Kiera." I put my back pack down and walked over to her and sat down beside her. "Have you done your homework yet?" "No." "Well, I think you should get started on it." "But Kiera! she whines. "Jade, you've been home for an hour and watching tv the whole time I'm sure. Go ahead and get it done and we can watch movies the rest of the night, until your bed time, that is." "Fine." she groans. She gets up and makes her way into the kitchen. I take out my phone and call Daren. Half way through the call, I get his voice mail. He sent me to voice mail. I put my pone back in my pocket and follow Jade into the kitchen. We sit on the stools at the island, and I help her with her homework.

A half an hour later, she's done with her homework. "Movie time." she yells and hops off the stool and runs into the living room to pick out a movie. I get off my stool and get ready to make my way into the living room when I hear my phone go off. I pull my phone out of my pocket and see that Daren's contact pops up. I click on it and it's a text message. It reads, "We're over." My heart drops and I feel a lump in my throat. I feel the tears start to come down my eyes. I erase the message and put my phone back in my pocket. I try to make my voice sound normal and I call out to Jade. "Um, J, why don't you go ahead and start the movie. Sissy has to go to the bathroom, I'll be there in a minute." "Ok." she yells back. I run up the stairs to my room. I shut the door behind me and fall on my bed and the tears start falling. I clutch onto my chest. It hurts so bad, like someone stuck a knife in my heart. I feel like I want to just die right now. I don't come back downstairs to watch movies with Jade, I end up staying in my room and crying myself to sleep.

"Kiera honey, wake up." I slowly open my eyes and roll over. I see my mom looking down at me. I instantly start crying again. "Baby, what's wrong?" "Daren, b-broke u-up with m-me." "What? When?" "Yesterd-day." "Why?" "He saw Drake kiss me after school at my locker yesterday and didn't let me explain. I walked home and about an hour later he texts me saying 'we're over'." I pulls me into a hug and I continue to cry into her chest. "Maybe he didn't mean it. Maybe he was just too upset and didn't know what to do." I shake my head. "You don't have to go to school today if you don't want to." I look up at her and smile. "No, I wanna go. If I don't, my friends are gonna know something's wrong." "Are you sure sweetie?" I nod my head and get up off the bed. My mom exits my room and closes the door behind her. I go over to my dresser and grab a pair of skinny jeans, a light pink V-neck t-shirt and a pair of gray boots. I go in the bathroom brush my teeth and hair and walk downstairs. "Can you give me a ride to school mom?" "Of course honey." I grab my book bag, she grabs her purse and we walk out the door and to her car.

When I get to school, I go over to my friends and say hey to all of them. They all say hey and then start talking again. I just sit on the little patch of bricks near them and stay quiet. The bell rings signaling first period, and I walk with Kenny and Max to Spanish.

I didn't see Daren at school at all today. My friends all asked me where he was and I just told them that he wasn't feeling well and that he decided to stay home for the day. At the end of the day, my mom picked me up and took me home. She told me that I wouldn't have to watch Jade tonight, even though she was working late again because she was going over to our grandmas house tonight. I was glad for that, because Jade wouldn't have to see me crying the whole day.

At 5:30, my grandma came and picked Jade up. My grandma had talked to me and told me that my mom had told her about Daren. She gave me this whole speech about how, "He missed out on a great girl" and "Forget about him, you don't need a man to make you happy." I was happy that she was trying to comfort me but, it wasn't really helping. After she finished talking to me, her and Jade left and mom left shortly after that. After they were gone, I went in the living room and turned on the tv. 

About an hour into the movie I was watching, I was already crying again. I guess watching romance movies after you get dumped, doesn't help you any. I heard the door bell ring and I immediately wiped my eyes from the tears but I knew my eyes were still puffy and that my cheeks were tear stained. I got up off the couch and walked over to the front door. I opened the door and standing right in front of me.....was Daren.
