At the Triskelion, S.H.I.E.L.D's technological headquarters were getting ready to launch the Prodjet Insight helicarriers that would put Zola's Algorithm into effect. And Captain America's crew was going to stop it. Natasha and Charlotte broke off from the rest of the group early on. She could help stop the technology behind the deliveries, but she needed to be close. And Natasha had just the trick.
Steve, Sam, Peggy, Agent Hil and the rest of the New Avengers set out to try and stop the agents working for HYDRA. It wasn't that hard sneaking in, with a spy and Reyna in their ranks.
In the launch department, orders were fired like darts. Computer keys were furiously typed by what seemed like a small army of programmers.
"We are in final launch sequence." One woman called.
"We are go on guidance." Another confirmed.
"AH personnel to launch stations." A guard commanded over his radio.
Meanwhile, on the ground floor of S.H.I.E.L.D., Pierce was welcoming in a group of council members visiting for the occasion.
"And how was your flight?" Pierce asked politely.
"Lovely. The ride from the airport, less so." One man answered, forcing a smile.
"Sadly, S.H.I.E.L.D. can't control everything. Including Captain America." Pierce said. As he handed out small electroinc clips for the group, he continued,
"This facility is biometrically controlled. And these will give you unrestricted access."
At the main control room, compete with launch code computers and an intercom directly linked to the entire facility, a few of the lesser workers were having a mindless conversation that went something like this:
"I've been parking there for two months."
"- But it's his spot."
"- So where's he been?"
"I think Afghanistan."
Meanwhile, another control personnel said,
"Negative DT Six. The pattern is full."
"Triskelion command request we clear the area for launch."
They were running out of time.
But back to the conversation.
"Well, he could've said something.
Just as the other man got ready to make a retort, someone knocked on the door.
"I'll check it out."
Standing there was none other than Captain America, a Falcon, our group of superpowered teens, and two gun-welding women who didn't look like they played around. The worker stood still in front of them, hands in the air, but he didn't move.
