"You have to hang out with him," Jasmine insisted, sitting across from me in the dining hall. Daniel and I had been texting for about a week at that point, and while nothing really happened between us, I couldn't help from developing the giddy middle school crush

"I don't know," I replied, picking at the food on my plate. She frowned.

"Well why not?" She questioned. I sighed. Jasmine wanted me to get out more than I wanted to myself.

"He's a senior."

"So? He asked you, at least give him a shot."

Maybe she was right. I got up and walked over to where we get rid of our trash. Just as I turned the corner, I saw Daniel standing by the trash with a group of other senior guys.

Speaking of the fucking devil.

There was no doubt that he was going to see me and when he did, he broke apart from his fiends and walked over to me.

"Hey, Emily," he greeted me. I watched his eyes quickly scan down my body before snapping back up to my face.

"Hey," I replied, slowing my pace and he stopped in front of me.

"Listen, my roommates are going to be gone later, so I'll have my suite to myself. We could just chill, watch a movie or something." He set his arm against the well, leaning in front of me. An action that was far too attractive for no reason. I tightened my grip on my plate. There was those giddy feelings again.

"I don't know, I have a lot of homework and..." My mind started to search for more excuses. He smiled, straightening himself up. His group of friends walked past us and he waved to them, letting them know he wouldn't be far behind. He leaned down so that his 6'2 self was level with my 5'2.

"Well, if you get the chance, my doors open," he said quietly into my ear before slipping past me and after his friends. I felt a chill bounce down the length of my spine and it took a moment for me to catch my breath.

"What was that?" Jasmine said, walking over after she saw Daniel walk away. I shook my head, finally throwing my food away.

"I don't even know."

"Look, if that doesn't give you a reason to go, girl you're hopeless." I pushed her playfully and we made our way out of the dining hall.

Was he really interested in me?

I spent the rest of the afternoon finishing up the homework that had quickly accumulated over the last few weeks. College was fucking hard, but luckily my anxiety made it so that I was somehow a fairly good student.

Xavier wasn't in the room all day. While I wasn't complaining, it was unusual for him to not be back in the room before 5:30. My eyes shifted over to the clock that read 7:35pm. I thought about texting him, but then that would seem like I was worried about him, and I wasn't. Really.

I sat up, closing my laptop and textbooks. Jasmine had gone out with her cheerleader friends for the night so I couldn't bother her and the room felt eerily quiet without someone else in it. I sighed, weighing my options before eventually taking out my phone.

Is the offer still open?

If I thought my dorm was huge, Daniel's room was fucking massive. Granted it roomed four seniors, this room had to be at least twice the size of my own. His section of the room was heavily decorated with sports posters and pictures of musicians scattered in between. It reeked and I mean reeked of beer and what I could only describe as testosterone. I immediately regretted my choice as soon as I stepped into the room.
