Recap: I wasn't like them. I am supposed to be a humble servant. Trained to protect and serve, personal body guard. Trained to heal. Trained to live separately, but the same.

I sighed as he pulled the little I can talk to birds Snow White trick. It was normal for people raised in the Spiral to be connected to nature. Maybe he wasn't trying to woo her. I didn't like it. I didn't like him. It seemed that the wooing was working.

At least, I decided. At least he isn't trying to kill us all.

That was the only positive thought I could have of Conner. I just wished it never had to change.

******************************

Me and Conner talked outside for a while, catagories from where he was from, how it's different from here, to our favorite things, including colors, television shows, and books.

"Wow. This place is so facinating. I would have never expected it," Conner said as I finished telling another story about school.

"Yeah, some places are," I agreed. "But others are boring, dull. Not even a month ago me and Addie were in school, hoping we didn't get to much homework. Now I'm talking to a new friend from another Island," I smiled. He reached up and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear, and I felt some heat in my cheeks.

"I think that you are one of the most interresting people I've ever met," Conner told me. I smiled at him and he stared into my eyes.

"So beautiful," he whispered, his hand gently touching my face. I knew I was redder than a tomato but I couldn't do anything, seeing as if I was frozen at his touch. His eyes were just so beautiful. He, himself was beautiful.

We stayed like that for a long while before a bird began to sing and broke the trance we had.

"Maybe we should head back?" I said.

"If that is what you wish," he said. We turned around and walk towards the house where the movie was almost over.

I noticed that Drake was fuming in the corner, probably still mad about our argument. I didn't care. I walked in and sat down on the couch, turning on the tv. I switched it to the video screen and picked up the xbox controller.

"Finally, some game time," I smiled, turning on the Xbox and started playing Assasins Creed.

I got a good 10 minutes into the game before Drake tapped me on the shoulder.

"What? Can't you see I'm busy?" I snapped, turning back to the game.

"I need to go out and I was wondering if you wanted to go with," Drake asked in a light tone.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked slowly.

"To a car dealership. With all the new people I need to get me and Will a new car, and I can't go by myself because someone has to drive my baby back," Drake explained. I snorted.

"Ask Lexi," I told him. "You two seemed joined at the hip the last few weeks."

"She can't drive. She's been in isolation for about three years," he said.

"Then ask someone else," I told him.

"I know for a fact Conner refuses to drive, saying cars are enviormental hazards, and I can't find Will and Addie anywhere. So that leaves you. Suck it up and come on," Drake said, turning off the Xbox and taking the controller in one motion.

"Hey!" I protest, but it was no use. Drake got me. I sighed as I walk out with Drake to his baby, but he points to my hair.

"Oh, right. Disguise," I said in a total duh moment.
