Control For Love

Chapter 2

Adrien wandered around the park, as he waited for his limo to come and pick him up from his photoshoot.

As he walked around, he couldn't help but feel bad about Marinette. He didn't want to think about the possibility of her crying her eyes out because of him.

He didn't mean to hurt or offend her, but he couldn't ignore his heart. He sighed.

"Aw, are you still upset because you crushed that poor girl's heart?" Plagg piped up, noticing that that was the fifth time Adrien had sighed out loud.

Adrien lifted his jacket a bit so, he could see his kwami.

"Well it's not that I don't like her, like that, but you know my heart is dedicated to Ladybug" Adrien explained.

"So you broke that Marinette girl's heart for your masked sweetheart" he sighed "this is why my only love remains my beloved Camembert" Plagg said.

Adrien rolled his eyes at Plaggs thought of love.

"Maybe I should talk to her, she looked pretty upset, when I rejected her" Adrien suggested.

"And say what? I'm not in love with you because my heart is for a masked girl that I don't even know"

"I don't know Plagg, but I will talk to her. As soon as my ride shows up, I'll go over to her house, talk to her in person and if all goes well, I'll invite her to the movies" Adrien planned.

"How romantic" Plagg said sarcastically and started to eat some cheese.

Adrien ran over to where he would meet the limo, now more impatient then ever.

He stood there quietly on his phone, when a sudden swarm of people came running screaming.

Adrien rushed over to see what was going on, bumping into a few worried people along the way.

He looked around, trying to figure out what all of the chaos was; then he saw her.
He saw Ladybug standing on top of a building. She was yelling something but due to everyone else's screams, he couldn't make out what the words were.

Adrien ran to find a hiding spot to transform, when he was out of site, Plagg flew out of his jacket.

"Ladybug probably needs our help"

"But I was eating my Camembert" Plagg complained sadly.

"Good that means your energy should be full. Plagg claws out!"

Ladybug, or rather Cœur Sombre, stood on top of the building, toggling her yo-yo in her hand.

"Where are you Agreste!?" She yelled, as she watch people run in fear.

"Don't forget about our bargain, if either of those heroes come, take their miraculous, or your revenge won't be possible" Hawkmoth warned in her head.

She was about to respond when she heard someone behind her.

"Hello m'lady- oh you, look different Ladybug are you ok?" Chat asked

"I feel fine, no I feel amazing, better than ever!"

Something was wrong. Chat knew Ladybug too well to know, that she wasn't ok. He couldn't shake off the feeling.

"That's great-" He played along, but was cut off.

"Except, it's not 'Ladybug' anymore" she spat

What was going on? Chat's eyes stared at her confused.

"It's Dark Heart" she said, full of venom.

This wasn't good. Deep down Chat knew she had been akumatized, but he ignored it. There was no way that the love of his life, had been filled with hate, he refused to believe it, she could not be gone! And even though he wouldn't believe it, he still knew something was wrong, he had to help.

He pulled out his staff and started to walk towards her.

"Ladybug, I can he- agh!" He was interrupted, by her turning and swinging her leg around so it would buckle under him and make him fall.

She caught his staff, which had fallen out of his hands.

"I told you I'm not Ladybug anymore!!" She yelled.

"Yes you are! You're still the same girl I fell for!! You're still you!" Chat told her. He was also telling himself that too, hoping he would actually believe it.

"No I'm NOT!" She yelled and snapped his staff in half over her knee.

Chat was startled and he stared up at her as she put on a wicked smile. He noticed that her eyes were a deep purple; and they held nothing of the real Ladybug. These eyes held hate, revenge, darkness.

She was Hawkmoth's puppet. She wasn't Ladybug. She was gone. And Chat didn't know if he could accept that.

"Get his miraculous!" Hawkmoth screamed in her head. She followed orders and lunged at Chat, but he dodged her and stood in a defensive stance but she kept trying to attack him and capture his ring. But he refused to fight her.

He only used defense and never made an attack move. He knew she was still in there, he just had to bring her out of it.

"Ladybug, snap out it! I know you're there!" He yelled as he dodged more attacks.

"You just don't get it do you!?" She yelled back. She pulled out her yo-yo and managed to tie Chat up with it, so he couldn't move. "Now for your miraculous" she said, and started to walk towards him.

"Cataclysm!" He yelled and made a fist full of cataclysm. "If you touch my miraculous, you'll touch my hand, meaning you'll be turned into nothing" Chat warned, he didn't want to fight or hurt her, but it was all he could do at the moment.

Dark Heart stopped, knowing he was right and she freed him from the lock of her yo-yo, and he got ready to fight her off again.

"It's a good thing you're not my main priority, you dam ally cat!" she threatened and he, hesitantly, relaxed back to normal.

She used her yo-yo to throw Chat off of the building then swing to other building tops and away from a crushed Chat.

"No! His miraculous!" Hawkmoth yelled.

"Next time! I'm going to find what I want" she told him.

Chat hit the ground hard.
Ladybug, the only person he really and truly cared about, was lost to darkness. And he wasn't sure what he was going to do about it.

He heard a crumbling noise and when looked up, he saw a few destroyed building pieces fall from the top and about to fall on him. He must have touched the building with cataclysm when he was thrown.

He jumped out of the way just in time, but landed face first.

He slowly got up and looked in the direction Ladybug had gone.

"What has he done to you?" He whispered to himself.

Hawkmoth had akumatized Ladybug, and filled her with hate. And he wasn't about to let him get away with it.

"I promise m'lady, I will save from this darkness. No matter what the cost" He promised.
