Lost in the music, I felt a gentle but abrupt tap on my shoulder. Startled, I turned to see a boy standing behind me, tears in his eyes. "Everything alright?" I questioned, although it clearly wasn't. I don't know why I asked. He sat down and swung her legs over the edge. "You're in my spot," he teased, wiping the tears from her eyes and giving a weak smile. Then he pulled out his earbuds and phone and we sat in silence, a really nice kind of silence.  I didn't know what he was listening to, but I wish I did because he seemed like the kind of person who listens to good music. Dressed in jeans, a grey t-shirt and worn down converse, his brown curls moving slightly in the wind. We stayed there for a while, but at ten he got up and walked away. I didn't want him to go, but he didn't seem like the kind of person who couldn't be stopped. So, I got up and walked away as well. I never got to ask why he was crying.
