Despite the fact that I hate her new boyfriend, today is her wedding day. Her as in my mother and me and my sister, Hailee, agreed to be her bridesmaids. I did however manage to invite my best friends, Reese and Zoey.
Since I was her bridesmaid my mom made me and Hailee dress up in purple satin tulle dresses and matching heels. We would’ve looked like twins if it weren’t for me dying my hair a dark red shade. My natural color was brown – like Hailee’s – but it looked much better on Hailee then me. After we finished getting dressed our mom sent over hair and makeup stylists and by the time we were done – we looked like Celebrities.
The wedding was boring, but that’s normal about weddings and partly why I plan to not have one.
“Dawn!” My sister yelled running to me at the wedding reception.
“Hailee, have you seen Zoey?” I only asked about Zoey because Reese is mine and Zoey’s newest friend and haven’t met my slutty sister yet, but he will be meeting her tonight… And to be honest, I was dreading it because I have a crush on Reese and my sister ALWAYS takes my crushes.
“Yeah, she was with this really cute guy!” Hailee giggled.
“That’s Reese… Do you know where they are? Could you take me to them?” I looked away, oh shit not this again.
“Sure!” Hailee took my hand and dragged me across the room to Zoey and Reese – they were standing close to the drink table.
“Hey Hailee and Dawn.” Zoey hugged me and then Hailee.
Reese only waved and blushed.
“You’re Reese?” Hailee giggled.
Reese nodded, still blushing.
“Ah, well, I’m Hailee.” Then she pulled him closer and whispered in his ear something that made his face go super red then she made a “shh” and a ‘it’s a secret’ face with her finger over her mouth and ran away.
Reese turned to me, “I didn’t know you had a sister. She’s really cute.”
I glared at Reese. Oh, just fucking great, my newest crush thinks my slutty sister is cute.
“Yes she is, but Dawn is cute too!” Zoey defended me, knowing how I felt about both Reese and Hailee.
“Well, yeah, Dawn is pretty cute too.” Reese nodded, noticing my attitude.
I didn’t want to get called cute from my crush out of some self-pity he had.
It wasn’t fair, so I just nodded and walked over to Hailee who was with her 3 friends – Tiffany, Marissa, and Melissa.
“Hello Dawn.” Her friend Tiffany spitted out my name when I went over.
The rest of the group stood in front of Hailee.
“Um, may I speak with Hailee?” I blushed, her friends always made me nervous because they are usually always really cruel.
“What’s with the formal address, Dawn?” It was her friend Marissa speaking now.
“Can I just talk to Hailee?” Her friend’s also pissed me off a lot.
“It’s fine, guys. I want to talk to her anyway.” Hailee stepped through her friends. “What do you want, sister dearest?”
“Um, well, to talk to you alone…” I looked down, my sister made me nervous as well. She’s like a copy cat of her friends.
She might’ve been nice earlier, but that’s just a cover up around everyone.
“Fine,” She sighed and we walked away from her group of friends to outside where a garden was.
“What do you want?” She crossed her arms over her chest.
“I would be happy if you stayed away from Reese, because I-I-I…I l-ike-e hi-m.” I stuttered, it was hard admitting this to my sister.
“Hm? Oh, really? It’s too bad he doesn’t want you. Did you not see how he looked at me? He absolutely adores me, Dawn.” It sounded like she was bragging, and knowing my sister that was most likely the case.
Please… “Don’t mention it…” I looked away.
“Speaking of this, every guy you ever liked loves or loved me. It must be fate telling you how unappealing you are, dearest.”
This is just an example of how cruel she can be, she can be much worst then this.
“BUT REESE WILL FALL FOR ME!” I argued.
“Just like Stephen and Chase should’ve, right?”
Chase and Stephen were previous crushes that the Devil Hailee stole from me.
“They would’ve…”
“No they wouldn’t! I had them wrapped around my fingers and you know it.” She smiled devilishly.
She just had to always be a bitch.
“Hey guys.” Zoey said walking towards us with Reese at her heels.
“REESE!” My sister said cutting through Zoey and then started kissing him and when she was done, she glared at me with a ‘now he’s mine’ expression.
