It was another typical moody Monday morning. The clouds blocked the sunrises to kiss the surface of the earth that morning. Cassandra was looking out of her window and the whole scene reminded of a secret affair between the sun and the earth. She let out a heavy sigh as she looked away from the depressing sky.
"Cassy you're going to be late. Come on." Her dad told her calmly while he stood on the doorframe. He looked at her sad eyes and she looked away. She knew what he was trying to see.
"Cassy were you crying again?" He asked and his calm loving voice cracked when he said his daughter's name. She was just like her mother and he couldn't get over the fact she was gone forever.
"Dad just please, drive me to school. I'm just tired." He was so used to that phrase. It was Cassandra's way to avoid questions. He didn't have enough strength to obligate and discuss anything, so he just drove his daughter to school in a car filled with silence that hurt both of them.
She walked alone the hallway until she reached her locker. A tall blonde boy opened his locker next to her. She ignored him as always but this time he spoke.
"Hart tell your dad my mum said he forgot something at ours"
"Whatever Hemmings"She reached her class and sat at her usual spot waiting for Iris to appear. Mrs Fanning came in and started her lesson. But where the hell was Iris? The door opened and Cassy thought her friend had finally came. Her smile faded away as a raven haired boy appeared there.
"Hood detention after class" the teacher spoke and he sat next to Cassandra. She didn't pay attention at the lesson anymore and her hand started drawing shapes and words on the empty notebook pages in front of her. Calum almost saw her drawings but she hid them quickly. He glared. He wanted to know what she was doing but she wouldn't let him.
The thunderous sound of the bell dismissed the students. But a voice stopped Cassandra.
"No not you miss Hart. Stay after school we need to discuss your performance in my class" Mrs Fanning told her, she nodded and walked out."Great what else now?" she mumbled and took her phone out.

"I was just asking how are you Cas."
"That's not my name."
"I know I was-"
"Can you stop annoying me? Leave me alone ok?!"
